Post by Oxid »

will a new map be made once the morrowind province is done with all the new towns/cities/plantations on it? becouse there is much more added then the maps say in TR...
i for myself can't possibly make something like that, but perhaps with some help from "maps of morrowind"?

PR ;)
Due to the sheer size of the project, it will take years and years. Important members will get jobs, families, shot, whatever, and leave

Don't we already have one? Check out the provinces forum, there's a post by Prometheus where he was updating the map continuously with all the towns and features, might have fallen behind in one or two details but not by much.

A lot of new towns and cities have been added since the current claim map was completed. It would be nice if we could add those to the map and include it with the download. A bit more like the Vvardenfell map included in Morrowind with regions also clearly visible and important ruins and other important things on it. The current one is fine for a claiming map and looks good but I think a really detailed map might be cool as well.

Of course, it would be a lot of work to make one and someone would have to volunteer to do the job.

If you are feeling particularly masochistic try this. If i can't find a job in january after i finish school, i make it.... obviously better than what i made here. It wouldn't be to hard to do each map as it is released.

Check this link - it has all the info added to it by Prom, there's no need to remake the whole thing in the rather crappy style of the original map - if anything it should be done the other way round so Vvardenfell matches the mainland.

No, not nearly all info. A lot is still missing. He sure was careful with adding his own claims there though :P

Fair 'nuff, but surely it can be finished off by someone with photoshop or some other program and the right font.

I'm not saying it should be done in the style of the original map. What I was saying is that the regions should be clear. Everything on the map looks like it's forests, green hills and mountains all teeming with flora. But a lot of it is West Gash which looks totally different, there are ashlands as wellthat look ever more different and I can make the list a lot longer. Only AI regions should look like this on the map. Ashlands should be grey, west gash brownish.

And the little images at large cities could be made so they reflect what the city is. For example, a small image of the Necrom Temple at Necrom. Such a map won't be extremely necessary but it would be very, very nice if anyone would want to make it IMO.

I'd still like to see it in the same fashion as Prometheus' map though, I like it more than the original game's map.
