My many creature ideas for Morrowind

Post by Arthmodeus »

Okay, Majra told us to come up with creatures for Morrowind. None of these have to do with lore so dont flame me.

Monstrous Praying Mantis
Giant worm
Giant Dragonfly that breaths fire
Bipedal lizard with feathers that is very small and agile
Giant squid/octopus thing with many eyes
Large Cockroach thing that has a slightly humanoid torso
Insectoid monkey type thing
Carnivourous seaweed
Giant Horshoe crab
The creatures that make up the Redoran buildings
Snakelike creature with chiten plates covering its body
A giant sea monster with a slightly humanoid torso and a biolumenescent tail in place of legs and huge horn coming out of its forehead

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Okay, um

Large water dwelling jellyfish
Seasponge-like creature with spiked tentacles along the top
Translucent wormlike creature that swims in the ocean
Large manta ray with teeth
Ostraderms-large fish with bony external plates
Placoderms-Like the Ostraderms but more ferocious
froglike creature with tusks and a sharp tongue
Theropod with tusks, horns, and a thick spiked carapace
A mammal-like reptile?

I like the frog idea - tusks etc - very primitive-sounding. Are you gonna draw up some concept art for these? I like how you are coming up with sea creatures - the Bethesda seas were very lacking in life. What was it - Dreugh and Slaughterfish? Nasty.

I wish I could do concept art but, alas, I have no scanner.

I can make some on MS Paint.

hey now. If you're good at paint, like me, then you can come up with things like this:

FISHES!

And how. I thought so too, so I made a thread somewhere... and stuck up some concept art. It was generally well received (well, kind of), yet slipped into the hopless limbo of p.4

Let's see if I can make a link to it... (spends five minutes hoplessly trying to figure out what to do to make a link, then gives up and screams profanities at his pet fish) Um... it's p. 4 of creatures+whatnot, called Fishes Fishes Nice to Eat. You know, like what Gollum says. I thought it was clever too.

I would tell him that if he can find another drawing program that lets you create things that look like that and have that quality, then he gets a cookie. He's still wrong. I did it in Paint. If he can't find a program, then he doesn't get a cookie.

Either way, I did in Paint, and believing any different won't change the fact that I have a lot of skill and a lot of patience.

EDIT:

Also, any other drawing program that allows you to create that would allow you to smooth it. As you can see, mine isn't smoothed(tip of sword, crossbars, handle)

The Redoran Crabs sound like a good idea. Or are we already doing those? I'd love to fight something the size of Skar, although the FPS would probably plummet like a stone airplane.
No, as a matter of fact I do not know what you're talking about, and frankly I find you smelly and disappointing.

doesent seem like there'd be too many of them, and yeah, it'll slow it down a bunch. I don't think we should do them, but that's just me

There are already Giant Mudcrabs called devourers. It comes w/ morrowind advanced I think.

Some of my Creature Ideas:
Dragoons, Half Human - Half Dragon creatures.

How about some dark crusading nights out there? They shouldn't be human or anything, they should be demonic and wear all black or orcish armour, and be VERY powerful.

Moogles:I know, I know, lore. But just make a few of them and Hide them. VERY well.

Ghost Titans: Golems that are huge, and ghostly. 100% immune to paralyze and normal weapons.
Close your eyes, and see the world.

What about a serpantine creature with legs and pincers like a crab?

I drew a picture of one on the concept art thread.

Oh, and Dragoon is another word for 'guard'.

M'Aiq... why does everyone write of M'Aiq as a liar? This is what he says if you ask him about Emperor Crabs...

It should be a lot more flying creatures. Like dragons, bats, giant insects, birds and flying demons.
I will never return..............

Dragons are almost extinct, and have been chased away be cliff racers and skylamps. So, no dragons.
I don't know about everything else, but I'm almost sure that there are no flying demons in lore (unless winged twilights count- though they can't fly.)

If I can state it's in Lore, can we have flying monkeys? :P

Seriously, though, we need more deep sea creatures, perhaps one or two unique emperor crabs?
