door help

Post by Shadow_Ranger »

I finally started to use the editor again for good... and stopped creating super weapons and stupidly powerful rings.... and am working on my castle again. Well, i stuck the imperial door jams into my entrances.. and then the only door that fit was the "loaddoor" so i used that guy. Now doors to my rooms that arent different cells swing open, but on an axis in the middle of the door. whats up with it, and how to i stop it?

that is an exterior door, you need to use an interior one. also if you make it teleport it wont move.

As Negrodomous said, you need to use interior doors. The ID of the door you want to use for Imperial interiors is in_impsmall_door_01.

well, i found out what it is, its not the size, but the grid. I was using a grid lock (32) and it was not letting the door move the right way. It would get really close, but like 5 pixels of on one side. So i had to uncheck snap grid.... all well... just means a little more work for the door part... but i now have my first and second levels linked togather. I just need to make an exterior for it. ... thats gonna suck, im terrible at them.

well, i designed it as my personal home ... a full 6 floors of complete space and with the 2nd level being merchants to help with anything i need. But i got to thinking... maybe i could use this for TR... so, it might be a castle for tr, minus the top *ahem* executive suite.... but its very nice, i posted about it before... big friggin castle might have been the name...

but in honesty, it is also practise for me, so that i could start doing interiors.
