Vaguely Related - TR Lore and TIL Lore

I recently saw a post where majra states that the Lore Discussions board was for research on lore that did not exist, or was hard to find; AKA not found in The Imperial Library. If our lore is presumably correct, since it's based on as much facts as we can gather, and there is obviously no lore to contradict it, should we not send a message to Xanatar(or whoever runs TIL these days) asking him or her to incorporate our lore into the Imperial Library?

Maybe we could make a ginormous word document or something?

I think they have fan lore up there too. Its in its own section though...but don't quote me on that. I just thought i remembered seeing fan research essays.

Which are reasearch essays and not made up out of their arses like ours, those are interpretations of existing lore, not new lore without basis. TIL is a fantastic resource for TES lore - TR lore as much as we'd like to think is not TES lore.

Besides if they had all our lore on there it would make finding the 'real' stuff a lot harder and newcomers might be confused and start arguing on the official boards that the Dres are headed by vampires.

I have slightly discussed new lore with TIL people when I first took my dunmer language to them. They dont accept anything "to be considered official" by anyone. Maybe at some point they could devote something to TR, but it would have to be seperate from BS, just cause we arent BS, and thats how the cookie crumbles.

Exactly, they're a TES lore site and we are not owners of the franchise sad as that may be LOL. Fortunately BS are and I'm sure they know what they're doing with it.

One thing always puzzled me, tho. The teachings of Vehk/Vivec you can find in TIL and The Whirling School (Book of End, Road to Cyrodil etc.).. weren't they invented by some guy from TES forum, or is he part of Beth crew?

LOL, they wouldn't be there if they weren't official. The devs post all the time on the official forums; usually as part of an elaborate roleplay as the character they are providing lore about, as was the case with Vehk's teachings IIRC.

There is a separate section there which has analyses of certain lore topics by contributors but this is kept apart from the main body of the library.
