Endless World
I`ve been thinking about this for some time. And finnaly, I summed up all my ideas into a clutter. The Endless World Bolt-on (EWB) is a project deticated to making it seem like the player always has things to do in the world of tamriel. It will add: More mini, side quests, hopefully double the amount of quests, it will add jobs and such: Have you ever wanted to live as a farmer? Work as a merchant? A bar tender? A famous acrobat? In the Endless World Bolt-On, you will be able.
As to the mass number of side quests (like a woman asking you to get such and such of an item), all the quests will be timed to only happen when another mini quest is done, to make sure that the PC isn`t drowned with quests. Per example, when your done, lets say, six of the ten ACTIVE mini quests in Balmora, there will be an extra, lets say, five quests that are activated.
Esentially, it expands the whole of Tamriel, making it never end, giving you endless fun. Hents the name ``Endless World``. I`ve always loved the game, but even though there was already a lot of things to do, I always wanted more.
How does it work with TR? It expands it of course, more quests and such. Also remember that if this Bolt-On is allowed, and eventually finished, that all the hundreds, and perhaps thousands, of quests will only be activated when other quests are done. This is to ensure that We don`t overflow with quests. It would look to weird.
If I manage to get a forum up, I will inforce a claiming system. How would this work? I`m still playing with that. But, if the project is made, it will be very strict as to lore. I love moderating and am looking forward to seeing this work out.
I will, if accepted, inform the core weekly as to its project. I will update this thread with any new information that I get.<
EDIT: I sont think I menshioned this enough but the quests will NOT have to do with factions. Some will go long and spread into multiple quests, but they will NOT have to do with the factions.

If you make thousands of quests, you'll need a good script template...cause it would be hell to script. Also... it would be best create and implement the TR quests first... then do the bolt-on quests. Agreed?
I like this idea, though it would be tons of work. It would be good to do it after the morrowind province is complete. In theory, you could make a sure that every single NPC in Morrowind has a quest attached to them... man.. the organisation would be killer.

I will. Do not worry
@Morden, organising is what I do. I love it.
@Vernon, the way it would work is... "Simple". Not sure if I'm the only one who thinks that. There would be a forum for each city. These will be the "in-city/towns" forum. And there may be an non-town/city forum after.
I will offer an example:
George wants to make a quest. He has to post a QP in the proper town forum. Lets say he chooses Narsis. He then rights the QP, stating all cells, npcs, and items that are either new or edited, and writes the short plot line "these are mini-quests like 'Oh I dropped my ring by that tree. May you please fetch it for me?' " and then the PC goes, gets the ring, brings it back and the women gives him something crapy (note that this is upposed to be comical) like salstrice.
The QP, lying around in the QP section, can be approved by a Gmod or admin. Once approved, a lucky Gmod will be able to bring it over to the Claimable quests section. There, it will be seperated into exteriors, then interiors, then Npcs, and scripts and quests will be together unless otherwise. This quest doesn't require any interiors or exteriors, though it does require scripts (the npc is activated when such and such quest is done), quests and Npcs.
Another thing. I forgot to menshion. I have seen some Quest Proposal formats in the past, and I found that they lacked one little thing: what journals will they use? In the QP, the person must also state what journal series the quest or line of quests will be using. This is a must. A MUST.
And as to the thousands of quests... maybe not thousands. Alot though. I hope at least.

Yes, quests need plenty of work and ideas. It seems like you've got some interesting ones here. The Telvanni and Imperial Legion are pretty well-worked, and I think the Morag Tong is doing ok too. However the other factions still need a lot of work.

if you want to do an example of this idea (make a few quests that activate after each has been done, as you are saying) then feel free to take one of Bethsofts cities and do so - boltonns allow changing and addition to vvardenfell, so go right ahead. When youve proved you can do this, you can get a team to work on quests for vvardenfell until map 1 is complete. then you can bring your bolton to map 1. talk to stumpy about scripts for it, hes one of the best weve got.

Re: Endless World
I've thought about this one alot, and another thing that i thought would be really cool is if you could expand on all the caves and dungeons and tombs, give them a story, give them quests and so-forth. because in morrowind, there are so many places where you can only speculate as to what happened there. It would be great, and would expand, just so much onto an already great game.Colostriph wrote:I`ve been thinking about this for some time. And finnaly, I summed up all my ideas into a clutter. I'll start her up with its own forum once the Morrowind province is done. Then we'd be able to really do some things. But I didn't think vvardenfell really needed that much more to it. Perhaps a bit, but I'd rather do this for the mainland. Perhaps not a Bolt-On, but rather an individual project.
I'm still thinking of it. The tombs, hm, perhaps. But this was more for the towns. Though more road side quests would be nice. I can only imagin. This would be a project mostly for scripters sadly. Not many new interiors, nor new exteriors. Just scripted creatures, npcs and dialogues. But I'll try my best for it to acomadate all.
As to the claiming system, it will be exactly the same as TR (or at least very similar). I plan for this bolt-on, or rather project, to be completely friendly with TR. Both commmunities sharing the same members, rules, policies, and thoughts. That I am obligated to promise.
