Auto-save
Will there be an auto save feature, not only before you sleep, but also within a certain time, like every 10 minutes or something? It would be nice for people who have computer problems, like me.

If I were you, I would just replace the CPU and skip buying a $3000 computer from Alienware. First, make sure the CPU is the problem. It might be too little RAM, or a faulty hard drive. Borrow some computer bits and replace pieces until you find the problem. Then return the bits and buy a replacement for the broken piece of hardware.

computer problems? read my Guide to a healthy computer, and then read tweaktowns Guide to Morrowind OptimisationGod Father wrote:Will there be an auto save feature, not only before you sleep, but also within a certain time, like every 10 minutes or something? and the autosave would be a hard feature to include, by the way.
Not hard but medium difficulty. The only thing you should do is retrieve program handle and simulate pressing F5 in specified interval.
Stop ! I can make it. The only problem is that you cannot specify the interval. I have a pretty damn nifty scripting program which can do this in no time !

it would simulate hittting f5, but i see a problem.
You stop outside a dangerous deadric ruin, you know its dangerous, so you hit f5 to save. you go in. after a little while of exploring yoou decide to go into a battle, as soon as you go into combat, it saves, overwriteing your previous quicksave, royally screwing you.
plus, what if the person has set quicksave to a different key?

Don't buy alienware, they are overpriced. If you can, custom build your computer to have specs the same as you have now(or better, if possible), and just get an alienware case. (and keyboard and mouse, if you want to go the whole nine yards)

Case, schmase - it's the innards that counts. If you're up to it, build your own. That way, you'll know exactly what you have, and probably know what parts you want to upgrade in the future. These days, it's a lego-type construction, too. Just plug the pieces into the proper slots. No more manually setting dip switches or tweaking the IRQ's and DMA's. If you REALLY are not into building your own system, go generic. ALIEN and DELL names have large price tags - just for the name, not the components.
