ty for the feedback, and im glad you like em :) no, sadly i cant get the picture back. i was drawign it after an important test (HSAs suck ass) and they took everything i even layed eyes on away so that i could not cheat.

as for the secret, it is the Gaussian Blur filter option thing :P or it is for me anyways when trying to draw pictures with no lines (only shading etc)

on a raondom note:
yey, 6 pages!

Woah, like the first one! Thats what I can't manage in things I come up with, without observation of the real thing I can never just imagine, the light scattering off the hair. I have troubles with that. Nicely done Lady N.

And the second drawing. What a fantastic idea. I wish there were more things that were unique, that were still havok enabled, but could decorate you house/guildroom.

My Imperilal Knights house is dispalying Artifacts, and special keys and anyting I can get my ahnds on. But there aren't enough things like this. My Chorrol house is for the Artifacts and weapons, and my Skindgrad house for my gems, and rings and jewellery(not artifact rings) expensive potions i have discovered. Both houses can display my rare drinks and foods though! ;).

Anyway, I love the diea, and I wish there were more things like this already in the game. great artwork though.

hehehe, thats really good. Your cloth is just great Lady_N. I am approving greatly of that, an as many of your clothing peces can be put in-game, should be! I am goign to say some constructive critisism. It's a habit i need to get into. It's just the eyes. They are great, don't get me wrong, but the afce looks slightly 2D, I may post what I mean later. But for now, don't worry a bit, you are going great guns.

a few new pieces. first of all we have a large colection of jewelry. the cros hatched sections are holes. i tried to show the shape of the pieces by shading or drawing it from a different perspective (or both)

second we have some shirts. the first is poor, the others are either middle or expensive. all of these could be made wy retexturing one model.

third we have anotehr shirt (straightforward)

8o Awesome awesome awesome, LadyN! and that last blouse looks to me if Daggerfall's redguard women were better (and smartly) dressed. Very wonderful to see your work and design making leaps and bounds forward :D

What!? I could never do those kinda jewelleries. Those are just fantastic. And I am most impressed by them, you ahev put so much detail and time into them. They are beautiful. 4 and 9 are very intricate nad my favourite. But i think 8 and 6 are more fitting, very tribal. Love them. And also with the Blouse.... I seen those things. But the Chest Belt just changes it.... Great LN.

@ Lady Nerevar:

I like the jewellery. My favourites are five and six.
Are you going to colour those shirts?

@ Lutemoth:

I did like that bikini look the Hammerfell women had, even if it was a bit silly.

So there are shirts with this kind of design in the real world, you know? Where they're all tucked up under the bosom or whatever? Am I the only one who thinks they make the wearer look pregnant?

I mean, uh, great art N. As yousual.

its a clasic empire waiste sload. i know there are shirts like that in RL (i own several). they originated in places like asia and the midlde east, and i believe that they are quite fitting for HF.

and yes, they do make one look pregnant. this is because people were usualy pregnant all teh time back in those days, and it was easier to own shirts that could be worn all the time.

by Sload
Why do you wear them now, though? Do you want to look pregnant?

That's just what I'm asking.

empire waste shirts also help conceal unsightly bluber on over weight chicks.

anyhow, on to the next update.
to start of i have a shirt. i realise that the cut on the profile is lower then on the front view, but it still gets my point acros.

next we have my [terrirble] randition of morhwa. she has 3 toes!zomg!

next of we have a teapot and small urn. i didnt bother to draw the rest of the set, but it would be a recolor of OB objects:. white ish clay with the this design.

a few large urns. the rightmost one stands about waist hight to the PC.

a few smaller pots, vases, what ever you want to call em. they each have a different patern on them because i wanted to show of all the pattern posibilities. in theory we could make sets with each of thes paterns (yey for variety)

to finish it off a chest. the desing would be engraved in the wood. the wood itself would be dark (the ES equivelent of real ebony)

http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y296/sealsareus/?action=view&current=ladysshirtredone.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1

it might be a little high poly for a shirt. (1000)

this is like my first real attempt to model clothing. (unless armor is considered clothing.)

Posted: Wed Aug 23, 2006 8:47 pm
by Lady Nerevar
teh purple parts need to be hiergh poly, while the blue can be less. the belt also needs to be like an OB belt (it curently looks like its just more cloth.

here are some updates. first i have a plethera of robes. as you will notice they had to be operated on in photoshop cause i fucked up the coloring (i need proper markers).

1,2, and 5 are all dunedweler or simply hard core redguard. number 3 is lighter in redguard influence, most likely a forbear desing. 4 is almost compleatly a non-redguard desing.

hopefully the uglines of the photoshoping will go away when i color em.

next i chose to re-do the redguard exquisite outfits as a portfolio piece. refer to earlier in the thread for descriptions. this will be colored and edited soon.

No, thats cus, those things are suspending them. I th9ink where teh nipple is needs to be protruding. However, your faces keep getting better each tiem i see them. Nie work, and as for teh designs, well we know your fabulous clothign designs, but this just erupts excitement, i can't wait to see NPC's walking round in these.

Of your five robes, the fifth is by far my favorite. I hope that they will all soon be in OoT. The only thing that I'm wondering about is number four. Maybe it's just because I'm used to Morrowind's over-all bright robes, but if I saw someone walking around in robes like that in the game I'd probably get the idea that he's 'shifty' right away. Maybe if it gets colored in it'll make sense, but by currently I'm thinking it'll look like the robe of a rich Necromancer, or maybe theif... But again it's probably just me.

HUGE concept art update. including some stuff i dont realy do often :)

first of we have some sketches of dwemer artifacts. the dirst 3 are original MW, the last 3 are new.

this is that stirk screen sload requested a while back. the scan is crappy, i could redo it if sload wants it.

a few hats, cause i can. the upper row is made of woven straw and would probably be worn by the lower working class. the lower row are more helm like and expensive.

ok, get ready for hte armor. first up we have plate over chainmail, with cloth over top of that. its light armor of low to medium expense. the chainmail is bordered with leather.

next up is my take on guard armor, based on another piece i did a while back. the upper colar is leather and signifies the rank of the officer (militia, guard, or captain most likly) the lower layer is chainmail. the cloth flaps on the fron and shoulders bear the city emblem (in the concept case's Elihir). the chainmail is also bordered with leather.

this is some heavy armor for a change. the plates are some kind of metal wich has been gilded to appear more expensive. the chains holding it together are also plates of metal. the beeds are there purely for decoration. the underlayer ismade of heavy cloth.

no idea what the hell it is, but i kinda like it :P the shoulder and ely plates are most likly hard leather, the rigs on the bottom are ceramic... or something.

this armor is made of leather and worn over bear skin. cheap and light.

yey, clothing! familiar territory! first off we have some clothes that i thought could be suitable for dunedwelers (or citydwelers for that matter :)) the left one is more ornate and expensive, suitable for upper classes. the right one is much more simple.

some more imperial shirts. *shrug* just thought id post em too.

a long tunic shirt of crown design. middle class most likly.

and to finish it all off a few lanterns. the rightmost is a sugestion of how to impliment cariable lanterns into the game.

That one is SOOOOO good, really really lovely job on that, and the one below it is also great. The design is excellent, that helmet is very interesting, I would love to see more detail on it eventually, but it's such an interesting helmet. Overall, I think that THAT would be a great piece for a guards armour. It's just spot on, nice work.

... I can't quite find a word in my vocabulary for that, so I'll just borrow one of Lute's:

Yazza yow! (Or however he says it.)

You're getting really good at shading. The antomy is also right-on. (Bar a slight problem; On the left one, wouldn't it be rather uncomfortable if she looked up? The fabric is rather snug. :) ) I'd definately like to see some of your armor done in that style.

Wow yer, your Photoshop skills have defintely advanced. Inafct, I don't think I remember seeing much photoshop from you. Most of yours were hand coloured.

Like Morgoth says there is no anatomical problems, lovely proportions as always. And more to the point lovely designs. And it really echoes those beautiful Guildwar pieces. Nothing actually like them, but in professionalism, and just the way they are, I dunno. Did you look to those for any inspiration?

Now usually for faults I can unlaod a barage to construcitvely critiscise works, but this is a toughey, all I can do here is say that do try to practise what you've already said... foreshortening (Which may I say is a bitch! So good luck) and such.

Other than that you've created a real good'n, and I think if you colour your other previous deisgns on Photoshop, and get a series of them of this caliber, they can for sure be used as promotional material, but also for ingame stuff.

Gigantic comment over.
