Allow me to give you my 2p.
The quest has two parts: Usual and bonus optional.
Usuall part:
Dreugher son tells you his fellow armorer has been working for his farther, who supplied him with wax to make the armor, but now when his father is dead he needs 5 more pieces to finish it. He gives you some money if you could bring them. (Perhaps he tells you his reasons only if you have good reputation)
- Later you can visit Dreugher sons village and find him with already finished armor. He asks you for an advice, he can either keep the armor or sell it to have money for more training.
- If you tell him to sell it. He will offer it to you for lowered price and you can buy it. If you decline he will sell it to another person in time.
Either way he uses the money to train himself in Fighters guild. Later on he becomes established dreugher, he has his own armor now and sells dreugh waxes, grom and armor. (Possible outcome would also be that you could recommend him to some merchant, but that would be already part of another quest)
- If you tell him to keep it to provide him protection during his hunts, later on you will find him dead in water near place where he has been haunting last time, killed by some Dreugh. You can take his armor for free.
The moral of this quest: Trained skills and experience is more important then expensive equipment.
Bonus: Drurgher sons warns you about vicious Dreugh lord who killed his farther and tells you to avoid him if you can. When you find him and kill him despite his advices, piece of Grom falls from him.
If you show it to Dreurgher´s son he is gratefull for avenging his father and offers to buy it from you for good price, but might tell you that his friend alchemist in town XY can make it into valuable water breathing potion for some additional gold. Choice is yours again, sell or keep.

Starcrunch said he wanted to make the quest before because it is short sharp and shiny, although the discussion got sidetracked because a couple of members don't like receiving ingredients as quest rewards. If he is still interested in making this quest, can he please say so. If he does and wants a larger quest, then continue this discussion. If he does and doesn't want a larger quest, then don't since it is up to him. If he doesn't want to make it still, then this discussion should continue.Starcrunch wrote:If a new mesh is needed then this needs to wait. Otherwise I would really enjoy implementing this quest (and iut won't take long to make). Some details (like where exactly) still need to be worked out.
At the moment, the only thing really to talk about is whether the bonus reward should be grom or not. I do NOT like the idea of a potion since so many quests are rewarded with them, and it would deviate from the story too much making this a far more complex quest. And an enchanted item would not be good since the normal reward is an enchanted item, and I doubt very much he'd be carting around three enchanted items when he would only have use for two.
Sorry, I don't mean to be rude. I'm just trying to keep up with it all.
