Well, it doesn't look too much like an Arkley... I just hope an blue Argonian called Swings-her-Saber intervenes when I come across one fo these :D. It makes sense that something would have long legs to travel through swamps, and the pointed tip, although prone to sinking into marsh quite easily due to the small surface area on the tip, probabaly wouldn't get stuck like a horse's hoof would... shows evidence of evolution to its environment!

I'm liking that cross between a crocodile and a tiger, I can imagine one leaping towards you out of the swamps... seeing those jaws would be a rather nasty last sight.

Wonderful designs! I cant wait to see Argonia being done, be it for Oblivion or whatever the next TES games will be.

I doubt people would flame you on these boards, I've noticed that most comments, however critical, are constructive.

Edit: added more detail to comments

Sweet, that "acklay type chap" is an awesome creature concept, it doesn't look to much like the Acklay imho, depending on what size it is made at. Good job.

I doubt it goes against the law... if it does, I'll see you court! jk ;).

While I havn't heard of a cross between an Argonian and a Kwama (if that's what you meant), unless its somehow supported by lore, I wouldn't go with this idea.

However, different types of Kwama are obviously supported by lore, since you have foragers, workers, soldiers and queens, then by all means it could be a variation of Kwama thats adapted to Argonia's swamps (instead of being dependant on caves), perhaps some regions close to the border.

I always thought it was facinating how Kwamas seemed to be modular, since the forager is basically the head of all kwama variant bodies (the workers and soldiers seeming to share the same body also), you could (if you wanted to) adapt the idea to reflect this... but thats just a minor suggestion. This species may have merged the seemingly seperate head and body... and also have different sensory system, since they lack the set of 3 eyes.

He didn't literly mean a cross breed of Argonian and Kwama. This seems to be more of living in the Argonian area. As would the *usual* kwamas be Dunmer Kwama warriors.

Ferrigno, GREAT job on the figures and postitioning. I like the idea of having Kwama's evolved when they are living in Black Marsh.

Hello ferrigno:

I'm Harke the Apostle, a humble literature and concept art modder. (I must have come after you went away).

Since the last things you were here a few things have changed. Read the stickies at the top of the showcase forums, if you haven't already.

People who want to mod for TR now have to be promoted for the field they want to mod in. This includes old members. Seeing the quality of your concept art, however, I don't think it'll take very long.

There are lots of concepts that TR still needs, I am not sure how many creature concepts we still need, but in other areas there are lots and lots of concepts that are still required. Why don't you take a look at the Concept Art forums to see what we've been doing lately?

to be honest my time is limited, ill keep this thread going but ill probabaly only be spinning off argonian concepts because argonia is what i know. with college and stuff, i find it hard to fit in the time but like i said, i know argonia and the black marshes so the resources that i have at my disposal when creating black marsh concepts is pretty much invaluable to me.

Well, first you should get promoted officially. You deserve it without a doubt. We aren't actually looking for anymore fauna or flora ATM. There are a lot concepts already made for fauna that are waiting until we finish up the goldmoor architecture. So, right now we need various concepts for Goldmoor. Architecture has the highest priority. Then comes some miscellanous stuff that we need to give our province the right feel.

You have my vote for modder status :)) Very nice concepts you have there - keep them coming (at bit more consistantly) ;)

Welcome back.

thank you for the welcoming back, as i said before i wont be a dedicated member in the way that ill be following assignments and the like, im just refreshing my old thread after a few years.

ill try and aim to keep it updated at least once a week, but i have several progects on the go at the moment. think of this thread as the revived 'Black Marsh Concept Group BMCG' for those of you who dont know what this is, it was an old collaboration of artists who used to have a small forum in wich they'd frequently post up argonia related concepts that could be used by TR at a later date.

unfortunately, the conflict of oblivion heralded an abrupt yet predicatble end for the group, and now as the only member left....kinda, im using this thread to keep the ghost of BMCG alive.
