All Scamp skin is Daedra hide, but not all Daedra hides are made of Scamp skin. All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares.

Yeah, however, in-game, ingred_daedra_skin_01 and ingred_scamp_skin_01 are different things.

....and Iron sounds like a good second. (It's also marginally rarer on Vvardenfell). I'd use one of those, personally.
I always found it odd we have Iron ore as an ingredient, but no coal or anything like it which is Essential to make Steel :?

Quit thinking about this like its real life. Who needs coal when you can make your own magical super fire. Also, don't necromance old threads for no real reason. (yes you said we should have coal, but that could have gone somewhere else)
