Nice one, Lute. Looks like a similar idea to that one Pound did ages ago. (Much more rodent-like, though.) Definately looks like it could be real.

The next one looks like a bear with ram's horns. Or a very bad hair-day. Is that supposed to be a crest or symbol? The next one is for dwemer ruins? Awesome design.

edited for more images from IRC discussions, and description.

I was reinspired on an old idea (along with Pound's vibrant terrestial quadriped) a dream I had last night. I want this guy to exist, and a few more species like him. A species secluded only to Hammerfell, like Morrowind's alit, or kagouti

Frank-Lutemoth-Miller! Those inkings are freakin' awesome! The Ordinator in particular is unbelievable. Where will these be used?

The Ordinator one was one of my favorites too!

As for the bird thing, I might also have a go at them, I read on IRC you said there could be several different species of it. I might have a stab at another. I don't like that it looks like a giant anteater, or tamandua.

Sep is just plain awesome, I haven't seen him in hat form, ever. I dunno why, but coloreud it's awesome, and that is some beautiful colouring too. Dude that and the centaur you did a small while back are some of my favourites :D

and as for changing the gods man, you can try, but I think it's pretty much decided the ones you have already are THE awesomeness.

Lovely work man. Just plain lovely.

it's a different style from that seen flying high in Vivec, but I suppose it's their regional work.

some arbitrary masks, I thought some would like. Nothing too special about them, just showing the variety of the design

There is a system of pupil shape(along with facial construction), actually. There's half a dozen or so varieties of eyes, but I won't spoil it for you :)

PS- Is the second mask an anteater?

Those banners will look incredible in Necrom. :) And thanks for taking the time to layout those masks from a great front and side view... makes them really easy to model.

This is one of the unique creatures of Hammerfell, namely the Goldmoor region. A strange species of cephalopod, which burrows using it's pod-like body and it's quill-like adapted tendril setae that line it's adapted head. The eyelids and skin have evolved, too, as they are covered by thick calloused epidermis. The skin helps conserve water efficiently, and helps protect it's smaller tentacles, with the use of it's encasing club-arms (two club-arms and eight tentacles).

What does it eat? I'm guessing that it is a ambush hunter and thus a carnivore. Very original, Lutemoth!

it looks like it would be a hunter, and that's what a lot of commonfolk believe when they find these dead above the surface. Rather, it's an omnivore, and feeds on whatever edible material it can find (roots, decomposing vegetable matter, invertebrates and small vertebrates).

What these things are sensitive to, however, is their established tunnels. To make sure that above ground animals do not collapse their burrowing complexes (they sense footfall vibrations, of course), they surface to ward them off. Kinda like a territorial animal, I suppose, but this is rare

And I love these little hints of MK's work coming through. It all blends in so well with Tamriel. It's especially fun to be able to 'investigate ' an unfamiliar style. But blended with your usual stuff; really eye-bleedingly nice.

I agree with Morden, it echoes so much in-game art rfom Morrowind, I'd love to see it on some banners or in some slums as if some old age grafitti, as a makeshift shrine. Maybe I'm going a bit far, but it's certainly lovely.

I plan to clean it up, make it a bit more Yoku stylized form, however. it's a bit too sketchy for converting to fresco designs.

Seriously now, you're the only CA I'm aware of that has captured the essence of Yoku style. But...what does MK stand for? I keep seeing this and have no idea about it.

That explains so much. Michael Kirkbride is a Bethesda ex-developer who is responsible for much of what TES is today. As it pertains to our development, he invented the Redguards, considering that what he had been given was some badass black guys in faux Arabia and a basic backstory, for the game Redguard and invented the "outside world" for TES with others in making the first pocketguide. In other words, anything he approves of or says is the most official canon imaginable. He is registered at this forum.

Dude, it's cus he invented this style.

And if I kenw what he was drinking, to get that good. I'd be wanting some.

Love that new piece. Btw with the previosu piece it is sketchy. But tahts the feel to it. It would be perfect in a book at least. But I think it would work on tapestries too, no problems.

Welcome to the Quagmire of Vaernima. I don't think that proverb could ring any truer than with this realm

The Vaernima Dremora, unlike it's firey Mehrunes Dagon cousin, is not built to seed destruction, but fear.

The former Neopelagius Eulius, during a discussion on the variances of daedra/sphere morphology once posed the question, "The Dremora of the Quagmire have no means of sight. How does this anomaly exist?". To which Zillik Thesrenius replied, "Why wouldst a creature have eyes, when it is their hands that do the seeing, and not their mind? Those that weave the fabric of terror have no use of such vision, therefore".

You worry me sometimes Lutemoth... in a good way... :P Did you ever read Magic: The Gathering cards just for the caption written on the bottom?

That creature is seriously frightening. Awesome. Is there any particular pattern you wish to develop for that yellow trim on the skirt? You could create a 'Quagmire-esque pattern' for use on special creature/npc clothing.

Looks slightly Alien-esque (which is nothign but a compliment, as Alien the movie scared the gooey goodness out of me) And I completely dig the eyes in the hands. Lovely touch!
