Guard's Memory [ADDED]

Memories of Salas Otharel; guard to Thaythionis family

That night, it was very dark and foggy, typical weather in the Ashlands of Vvardenfell. At that time I was just an adventurer, I did not even think of becoming who I am now, however I was devoted to Tribunal like now. I was traveling with my faithful ebony sword and in my armor to reach inside of Ghostfence, place where heretical followers of devil Dagoth Ur dwelled. I was hoping to destroy some in the name of Almsivi to bring honor to myself and my family.

Finally I reached the Ghostgate and stayed in it for a few days. After those few I went inside the Red Mountain and headed towards one of Sixth house citadels. When I reach one of them, which name I do not remember, I was unsure whether to attack now, at night, or wait till the dusk. It was then when I saw mysterious character run inside the citadel and I heard fight noises shortly afterwards. That made me attack at once and help the brave warrior who went inside. As I ran towards the doors I got attacked by two zombies and a slave. I admit that it was not much of a challenge. I sliced the first zombie's stomach while blocking the hit of the second with my shield. The slave cast a spell at me; luckily I dodged it, and simultaneously cut of the second zombie’s head. When the slave saw it, he ran and I could continue my way to the door.

As I walked inside, first thing I saw were bodies of multiple ash creatures, all dead. I followed the hall marked with blood on the floor. Shortly after walking a few meters I heard noises of battle. I rushed forward and ran into a chamber. Inside there was an Argonian fighting a few zombies and ghouls. I decided to help him.

After the fight was over, the Argonian has picked something up and headed towards the exit. I was a bit shocked, that he didn't even look at me. I followed him and went to the exit.

Outside of ancient Dwemer citadel I saw him standing in front of about 20 zombies, ghouls, slaves and even sleepers. This was the first time he spoke to me. He said "If you can protect my back, I will protect yours, Dunmer."

"I will,â€Â￾ I answered. Then they creatures attacked.

We were ambushed by many ash creatures, but we triumphed after only a few moments of intense bloodshed. This Argonian was a great warrior and mage. We walked back to the Ghostgate, and I looked at the horizon. It was dusk already, if I could see correctly through the red dust in the air.

We sat together at a table in the Ghostgate's inn. Now that we were in the heat of battle, I had a better glimpse of this Argonian. To my surprise he was wearing the armor of an Ordinator, and still I am sure he couldn't be one. He fought with a Daedric spear. He must have been even more powerful than I thought to get that spear in addition to the armor. I asked him "Where did you get that armor from?", but he did not answer. He looked at me and said
"It fights well, I'm impressed. But Vvardenfell is no longer a place for this creature. All ships have been banned from sailing to the mainland.â€Â￾ I looked at him, shocked, and said,

"That is impossible! How am I supposed to return home now?â€Â￾

"Here I can help you, Dunmer. I cast mark spell on mainland and I can recall both of us. But you must first promise me something in return."

“Okay then, what is it you want of me?â€Â￾

“You must promise on your gods that you will never support slavery, in any way, Dunmer." That didn't really surprise me, but the Argonian had more to say. "And it will have to free at least ten slaves from their owners." That was what angered me. That Argonian may not respect our laws, but wanting me to disrespect my own alongside him? I was about to disagree, but I then thought of my home, and of my family. I just couldn't leave them there, even if that would require me to cross my own laws.

"I promise on Almsivi, that I will free the slaves and not support slavery...â€Â￾ I said, and the Argonian replied

"It is smart... Now it can go home." He cast a spell on my and I found myself standing near city of Darconis. I looked around and started my travel home.

To this day I did not even learn a name of that Argonian, but I heard rumors about an Argonian warrior named Sshi-Nobi who murders slavers and frees the slaves. Can it be the same Argonian I met?
