Farm Boy Quest IMPROVED

Post by Kretterz »

[/i]Story line
I think that in morrowind, all the quests seem a little too "epic" and I thought, why not have some smaller quests?. The player finds a small farm in the wilderness of map 2 (probably) and when talking to the farmer gathers that his wife has gone off to a city in looking for another trade contract, while he is left at home doing normal farmhouse chores. [Such as gathering guar skins, collecting saltrice or wickwheat etc] Then after a few of these jobs the farmer asks for him to go to a local village and ask the trader for a contract, where he buys so many guar skins or wickwheat per week in exchange for some gold. The trader accepts.

Then I think that the farmer should suddenly get very worried about his wife, and ask you for a favour, to go to the big city she went to and ask around. Nowin the main morrowind I thought that there were not enough backalleys with illegal trading going on, with taverns that criminals go to etc. But in one of these (if there are any, if not a normal tavern will do) the player learns a foreign woman was seen being dragged off by (a random NPC) told she was seen being pulled into a back alley. in this backalley under some crates should be a hatch where the woman's body is found, completely looted of all things except clothes. Journal updates to go and see farmer.

This ending leaves the story open to more quests such as when the player gets back the farmer's dead, so the player goes to the trader and asks if anyone suspicious has been asking for the whereabouts of local farmers and sucsessful farms et, thent he player has to hunt him (or her) down and kill him (or her).

Sound's like a pretty good idea to me. Are you planning to implement it yourself?

I'm not entirely sure... i haven't managed to get a quest line approved yet so i realy don't know how it works. I guess you just wait until Theo reads you idea and gives you feedback on how to make it better and eventually approves it.
