Map problems

Post by Arondil Rethan »

You might have been realized this one, but about the problem with minimap. At the World map sequence, when the "border" is reached, the arrow indicating PC just vanishes and in time the lands as well. Is this a problem, you can't do anything for, or can the world map's width and height be modified from somewhere? It just bothers me, because the map is to most important tool in es3 after all.
Any objections?

this has been brought up before and no, its hardcoded, it will however be solved with ingame maps like "a guide to Ald'Ruhn"

i4-16-Red ; The Bachelor Pad
Finnished:

Makes it more realistic anyway. I mean, you have to actually work out your location from a map. It's not like you are ever given a map at the beginning which would let you know the landscape immediately anyway. We will just say 'please also print the paper map' and put plenty of quite detailed maps around.

I agree with Jale, it makes it more realistic, like in real life you wouldn't be able to just look at a map that showed you exactly where you were, you'd have to follow road signs, and buy maps of certain areas etc. I think it makes it a little more fun, in some ways. Not as easy perhaps but still, fun

Im not sure if the local map has any such problems, but I think that is all the map you really need, since its landscape you have seen, and that the main map should be filled in from maps you pick up and then details that you can add your own notes. That would be ideal as far as I am concerned.

Ok. As a matter of fact it IS realisc, though. Hmm... Is there pictures added with the travel guides? If is, then I volunteer to draw them, when the right time becomes.
Any objections?

Majra has already made some in-game maps maybe the person that has them can show them to you and tell you what other places need to be made...
