After Hammerfell, whats next?
I was looking at the FAQs to see what was after Hammerfell but it doesn't say. So what are you putting? Right now it say something like "After Morrowind we'll do Hammerfell" but were starting Hammerfell soon right? So what are you going put now?
On that note- When are we starting Oblivian? As soon as my new disk drive (I have a computer that can run Oblivian at max, yet I have the wrong disk drive ) gets here I'll make and show a showcase to become a Modder, but when are we stating?

To you first question: Woah steady there. Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We haven't even finished the first part of Morrowind Province, and we haven't even begun of TR Oblivion yet, so why stress ourselves more by thinking of a THIRD project? We need to focus our efforts on the two tasks we have at hand before we get too enthusiastic. We will decide when the time comes.
Second Question (I may be wrong): We will begin when we believe a sufficient amount of modders have experience with the Oblivion CS, and have had at least some time to experience the game itself, which I believe is still some months to go. But you can tryout for moddership now and help us on Morrowind Province

We're currently planning for Hammerfell, and I imagine it will our focus in the coming years. Planning for other provinces is realistically a waste of time. Hammerfell modding will start with the Isle of Stirk, which is going to be our testing grounds for modding on the Oblivion engine. As soon as some of our modders have a chance to play the game, and we have the appropriate concepts developed we will start generating the landmass.
While it will be fairly easy for modders to create an exterior landmass, the technical aspects revolving around models, voice acting, texture art and quest scripting will be at the forefront of our efforts. Also realise that we won't be simply re-using bethesda models for hammerfell, if an exporter is released we will be making our own art assets. This is where we hope to differentiate ourselves from the numerious other province mods emerging.
That being said, I would greatly encourage TR Modders or anyone who enjoyed Morrowind modding to expand your knowledge of sound creation, scripting, modelling, and texture art. Find some freeware are start learning. With the internet at your fingertips, all the resources are out there. We'll need it, and you'll need it if you want to mod Oblivion.
Think of it as a learning opportunity, and take advantage of the experience already gained by your fellow modders. Less then three years ago I couldn't do a thing. Now I can create great texture art, make digital paintings, model both simple objects and human forms, record and edit voice samples (though my mic is bad ), use the CS, perform basic scripting, and help run modding community... among other miscellaneous talents.. all self-taught. The resources are out there and one of the biggest is this community.

If it isn't, we're kind of doomed. Anvil's architecture definitely can't build a whole province, and its our only Hammerfell stuff.Morden wrote:Also realise that we won't be simply re-using bethesda models for hammerfell, if an exporter is released we will be making our own art assets. Stirk is actually an island owned by Cyrodiil. More discussion about it can be found in "Everyone on Quests in Stirk" which I'm renaming "On Stirk"

It's an island in hammerfell. It was the location of "the Elderscrolls Adventures; Redgaurd" game.
NEW MEMBERS: I'm not with TR anymore, so please stop PMing me. Just post your sample work in the showcase.

Woah! Hold on there. We haven't even started with Hammerfell yet, and it took us forever to agree on that, how are we supposed to agree on something that could be two or more years away?xMissSparklesx wrote:I was looking at the FAQs to see what was after Hammerfell but it doesn't say.
