First Looks at Hammerfell

Post by Noirgrim »

The following two screenshots are looking at the southern coast of HF from the island of Stirk. Note, the heightmap is in its beginning phase, and is really only an outline at this point. This is an LOD test, just to make sure when we do all this work, LOD will still work... AND IT DOES!

ooh, it feels like the dawning of something glorious, like the new day; the first signs of rough detail appear over the horizon, until it slowly appears in it's fullest radiance.

I hope you meant that in the Miranda sense, not the John the Savage sense.

which reminds me, I think that where Rihad is should be ALOT lower, like nearer the ocean. almost like the cyrodiil bank of the brena is a cliff overlooking it.

Why? The area around it is a moor, and the bit of Cyrodiil bordering it is called the Colovian Highlands.

The area there goes up extremely high so that the player can't cross it and will be changed appropriately.
