Website downtime
The TR website was down for a while, I was busy with school so I noticed it only until very late in the evening. MSNing with garf fixed it quickly. hope you didn't miss the site too much .

The downtime was just due to upgrading subversion, it knackered up apache for no good reason, will try to make sure upgrades dont effect apache in future.
Talking of upgrades, I will be needing to upgrade php very soon, so will require a tiny bit of downtime, whilst I restart apache to use the new version.
In reference to backups.. The TR database is backed up weekly, not sure if anyone ever downloads it to keep a remote copy.
Theres approx. 7GB of data in the TR site, which makes it difficult to backup a remote copy, but when I get my 50mbps cable internet it shouldn't be too difficult to do
I am going to see if I can compress/delete any files that arent needed, such as log files, old backups, etc to use a little less space.

This is my job and I totaly forgot backup up the site. I'll download the latest backup to a folder on my pc as soon as I get back home from school.garfield wrote:The downtime was just due to upgrading subversion, it knackered up apache for no good reason, will try to make sure upgrades dont effect apache in future.
