Kicon's Showcase

Post by Kicon »

Ok here is my first new .tga for a morrowind splash screen(loading screen)

It uses screen shots i found on the site

http://www.kastek.net/Splash_TR_M6_1.tga

you can download it from there... it might give you a 404 not found but not sure... it will still start up the download box

I dont know if this is possible but could i have the files for the other maps so i can get new screen shots to make these

I was expecting better, honestly. Most of us can copy-and-paste screenshots then airbrush over them. Try something more artistic. BUT NO LENS FLARE.

Look at an official splash screen. Then make one that would fit in with those. I think this one right next to an official one, would make this one really stand out and not work well with the official ones. As far as I remember, the MW splash screens were images of creatures, then fell off into sketches. Try the same technique with the Hlaalu building. Also, the clonining needs to be taken care of.

Edit: here's one of Kikaimegami's http://morrowind.kikaimegami.com/etc/wallpapers/SplashScreenFlameAtronach.jpg

It's pretty good, still needs some fleshing out. But you if you put your's next to this one, they should look like the same person did it (quality wise).

ok well i tried to fade off into a sketch but it looks awful so i think if i replaced the ENTIRE collection with creatures and buildings the way i do it it will look good

obviously I will make the objects blend into the background the first was just a WIP

Sorry to be a bother, but is there another format you could post besides .tga? I'm having an impossible time trying to view them.

I think you need to practice your photoshop skills.

Replace the TES3 Morrowind thing with the one from this picture:

http://www.sfondideldesktop.com/Images-Games/Morrowind/Morrowind-0005/Morrowind-0005.jpg

Remember to play a little with the tolerance index in case you're using the magic wand tool. It's not bad but it doesn't fit with Beth's theme suit.

I tried to do something like this a long time ago. What can I say? It's cool but it's also a hog of resources. Maybe if we can write a program that converts a file from a compressed format such as jpeg to targa. Keep it up!

You can also use this logo:

It's the Official TR Morrowind logo, even though we've kinda stopped using them.

ok, it's looking a lot better but the "Elder Scrolls III" text at the top isn't good. im not a huge fan of the black outline a it doesn't match the rest of the text at all. so yeh, nice work but fix that text :)

with it outlined in a tanish brown color

the black outline would be fine. just match it the other text. ie. same type of outline. try using either the drop shadow function or using the 'burn' tool

It's already been told before. We're not going to overwrite Beth's original splash screens.

Targa is the only supported format for MW-engine splash screens. I thought of a program that may convert the files to tga and move them to the splash screens folder.

And in case you missed it... You can use this title because it's easier to cut and paste without looking so weird.
