Frank Miller, I dare thee!

Post by El Scumbago »

Well, I've got some nice news I wanted to share with you guys. Lately I begun working with a local weekly comic mag. It includes work of world famous artists (Buchet, Jodorowsky, Moebius and much more) as well as local artists' labour. I started with a 3 page comic which they liked and published, and now I'm working like a madman!

This is also the reason of my recent inactivity, but I'll be making up for it in the next days (that's a promise). LC interiors and UC exteriors coming up...

That's awesome news E_S. I'd love to see some of your non-morrowind comic work. :)

That's really cool! Hopefully it will lead to bigger and better things.

Thanks guys! It's not really a job and not all of my ideas and stuff can make it to the paper, but I love seeing my name printed (such vanity...). I'd be glad to upload a couple of pages here - as soon as I get permission from the 'big boss'.

I was told that I'm not permitted to 'publish' any work of mine that's already been published in the mag, but they don't mind me publishing WIPz and such. So here're some pics of what I'm working on now. It'll be called Perfect Summer and I got the idea from a nice summer trip to an island with some friends of mine.

This is the first page, with the first colors. Still needs some stuff as well as 3 more pics and a smooth-up of the page.

And this is the hastily sketched second page. Half-second actually, the two upper frames belong to page 1.
The funny part is that I still haven't got the basics of inking, so every "inked" line is a result of Photoshop labout. Blessed Adobe!
