Sorry if I can't find a more suitable contact point to list this, but the link to page 3 of the "Morrowind Object Error Reporting" thread appears to be broken, and repeatedly reloads the page until my browser gives up on it.

I had the same problem 'til i switched to Firefox.

I forgot about that issue; shows how long it's been since I posted on IE. Make the switch to [url=http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/]Firefox[/url], it really is worth your time.

Some of us don't have the option of changing the programs on whatever computer we're using at the moment. Most of the PC world runs on IE, regardless of how good or bad it is. You can "optimize" a site for Firefox, but ignoring the large percentage of IE users completely is going to cause problems for a LOT of people. Meanwhile, if the page won't load at all in IE, it's BROKEN.

I'd love to see a figure on global browser usage. One of us would be surprised I think.

I have no idea how to fix it, but really. If you can't install it then make the pitch to your system administrator

I know for me, I've let it reload several times then I pressed Esc. for some reason it always worked for me. But you have to let it reload enough times to reveal the entire page and not just a fragment. Try it

thats not global, but its better than starting a whole new tread of Firefox vs. IE vs. Opera

or maybe not.

http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp is more like it.

There's nothing we can do to fix it. It's a problem with IE, not our code. In order to optimize it, it would take close to a total rewrite of what we have.

You can run a portable version of Firefox off of a USB drive, which you don't even have to install(so not having administrator privileges is not an issue). Firefox is superior to Internet Explorer, period. If a page won't load at all in IE, that means it was written for the new world, not the old. It does not mean that the page is broken, but that IE is. Ignoring something is often the only way to kill it off, which is what needs to be done--and is being done slowly--to IE.

the constant reloading occurs when there are attachments on the page due to size or something. you can usually stop it halfway (with the stop key) and have part of the page loaded up for browsing.

as for our userbase (for this month):

Firefox - 60.46%

Internet Explorer - 29.94%

Opera - 6.60%

Safari - 1.75%
