Truncated Dialogues

Does anyone know how truncated dialogues actually work since, they I can never ever ever get them too.

I type upto the 512 limit, get the truncated message box, ok it and then...........nothing.

Is there summit wrong with my TESCS?

I would think that it's not the CS, since I do the very same thing, and it works for me, I don't know what to do, maybe try pressing the X in the window, like you do when changing statics for interiors? or the cancel button?

There isn't a cancel button just an ok button.
