Hey Pink,
You most definitely can help us with music composition! Make up a track for us that would be appropriate for Oblivion and post it at the "showcase" forum. If we like it, you're in!
((If it's any other aspect of the project that you want to help with the process is basically the same, show a sample of your work, etc., but I assumed it was music...))
I went through your site, looking forward to hearing what you can do!

Well, I don't want to tell you to make music for us that we can't accept. Our soundtrack has to be in a similar style to the original Oblivion soundtrack. So more orchestral sounding, and less electronica sounding.
That said, please do take your time and ease yourself in! Who knows, maybe your dark ambient, rattling chains can work as dungeon music. If you do want to help with TR music though, I'd encourage you to start experimenting with some orchestral midis, or even acoustic instruments. At the same time, listen closely to the Oblivion soundtrack, or even other game/movie soundtracks of the same genre, and listen closely to the things they do, the tricks they use, and then try to replicate the same feel. There are some other sites out there too that have made music mods for Oblivion that are worth a listen I think. Here's one I liked:

I was kind of in the same position as you, several months ago, having never made this kind of music before (and I'm still trying to figure out how now! heheh) and those are some of the things that I did. Anyways, just follow your ears and you can't go wrong!
