propylon chambers

Post by braithwa »

I have downloaded map 1, and had a good look at it. The one thing that I think is missing is the propylon chambers. I am convinced that the creators of those centres would not have confined their transport only to Vardenfaal. How come there arent propylon chambers outside of vardenfaal? Also, it seems to me that this would be an ideal way to connect to vardenfaal.

As far as I know, the strongholds were built to defend the province against the nords. I guess the nords never got to Telvannis (which is nowhere near Skyrim) so no strongholds were built there.

From the architectural style of the Strongholds, I thought they were old sixth house bases (several have Corpus Beasts within, and they have similar design to Kogoruhn) and I think Great House Dagoth was confined to Vvardenfel (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Kogoruhn is the only truly sixth house occupied dunmer stronghold. Any others containing corprus creatures or ash beasts have been taken over relatively recently.

The others are simply ancient, pre-tribunal strongholds used by the Dunmer to protect against the Nords and other threats.

In any case, the propylon chambers were used for military transport purposes, not as some form of public transportation.

Yes, they had a magical levitating light rail system for that.

Yes, Cath and Myzel are both right, they were used by military to defend from Nord and other such attacks, most on the chambers on mainland are now broken though because they were too dangerous to leave active with constant nord attacks during the... War of which I cant name.
