Hey guys, haven't stopped by in quite a while and noticed that the blog hasn't been updated since earlier this year. How goes the progress on Sacred East and the Indoril lands?
Any news in any case?

I'm not a modder, so I wouldn't know
He posted 2 hours ago, are the forums really this inactive?
Maybe I'm just used to a forum where there's a new post every 10 seconds o.O

Sacred East is progressing well. Most claims are being NPC'd and Necrom is receiving some final fixes.
No post in two hours? Wow, you guys are impatient. It'll be done when it's done.

If it's semi-constant general chatter you want, there's always the irc channel

the US is where most of our modders live (with the netherlands coming in an inexplicable second) and your post for us came at 1:30 in the morning.
If there was any news, you'd probably know about it. There is a reason I refer to necrom as a Sisyphean hell.

Freudean slip or intentional pun?
True either way.

Ooh, an IRC Channel. I oughta get mIRC again and find it.
What's the address/channel name/whatever that thing is?

It is all explained on the main page of TR, the IRC data is linked there, as well as a simple link to install the right channel once you have downloaded and opened a chatutility

Also I think that the next releases will go much faster.

I don't get how it is a pun. I mean that the giant rock of necrom has rolled down upon us so many times that I am nervous that it may do so again at any moment.
Pardon my pessimism, I've been burned before. (There is no longer any reason to redo it, so it won't be redone. Still, that rock hurts)

Thanks for all the replies though I think i might be more lost than before >_>
Out of curiousity, can anyone tell me if current mournhold retextures would retext your colors or would it revert to vanilla textures?
Off to eat french toast ^_^

Sisyphean h
ell. Next step up from a Sisyphean hill? And Necrom certainly is!
Just wondering offhandedly if it was a pun or an unintentional but truthful slip.
Mel, most of our textures that use Indoril stuff will be overwritten yes, with perhaps the odd exception.

He was referring to it being a hell of Sisyphean proportions; I'm sure it would seem like hell.

qualities not proportions. Seriously, we have redone necrom so many times and each time it is as if the rock has rolled down the hill back over us. Sisyphus is quite possibly the best comparison for this little part of our project. Am I the only one who sees this comparison?

It is quite apt; previous attempts at naming it an Atlantian hell aren't quite as accurate, as Atlas holding the globe is better suited for the entire project of TR, I think.

TF, I'm saying your thing makes perfect sense. You also upgraded the proverbial 'Sisyphean hill' to a Sisyphean 'hell'. Maybe for you American's it's always a Sisyphean hell, I dunno.
But this has now gone on for a few days too many.

Where'd that rogue apostrophe come from?
