Akaviri Islands?

I was curious a few weeks ago when playing Morrowind. I decided to look up some lore about other places in Tamriel, and happened upon some lore I had read a while back about some islands to the east of the Morrowind mainland that are called the Akaviri Islands? If I'm not mistaken the empire tried to conquer it but couldn't and then in Oblivion you find out the Nerevarine went missing while exploring the islands there.

Will these islands eventually be put in (it'd be neat to explore a land nobody knows much about and it may bring in more players to play TR)?

EDIT: Also, keep up the good work guys! This mod project has become famous for a reason, its high quality standard and level is unbelievable!

We have no current plans to make anything outside of the province of morrowind.

Sorry for going just a tad off topic, but your usage of "island" is incorrect. Akavir is a fully fledged continent like Tamriel, though the actual size is unknown. Making the Akaviri continent would be an overwhelming tast and in my opinion unrealistic.

There are, of course, the islands in between Tamriel and Akavir: Esroniet, Cathnoquey, Roscrea and Yneslea. Still not going to happen though.

Oh, that's what he's referring to. Right. Nevermind then.

@Thrignar: Ah, ok. I was just a bit curious as I thought it would be cool to explore lands never before touched on in a mod.

BTW, I'm pretty sure once you guys are done with the Morrowind Mainland some other mods will show up attempting to rebuild other parts of Tamriel like Cyrodiil, Black Marsh, Skyrim, etc.

It'll be cool to see what happens when this mod finishes up (but it'll be a long time until you guys do finish LOL).

@Greendogo: Exactly, I meant the Akaviri Islands, not the continent (mainly because another continent is just too big, plus in Oblivion it is stated the Nerevarine goes missing on the Akaviri Islands.

There are already mod projects attempting to do this; Skyrim Home of the Nords, and Province: Cyrodiil are the two most prominent ones I can think of.

Also, the Nerevarine is said to have travelled to Akavir. The small island chains in the ocean between Tamriel and Akavir (and also Tamriel and Atmora) are not Akaviri in culture.

Wow. I'll have to give those a look sometime.

Honestly, I think you all should get together and work on finishing Morrowind and then work together to finish the rest of Tamriel.

It'd be really cool to be able to walk from Summerset Isle to Port Telvannis, taking a break in the Imperial City along the way .

EDIT: you guys may have thought of this already, but while playing through the Telvanni Vvardenfell quests... Fast Eddie, the player's mouth in the Telvanni Council, does a quest for you to retrieve a ring from the mainland. I was curious, are you guys going to have the ring he stole somewhere on the mainland but make it disappear after Fast Eddie does that quest?

There is a reason why we don't do that.
