Great House of Indoril - Tribunal Temple

Post by Velothi »

This is mostly a question relating to the new House you guys will present to the lore of Morrowind and the gameplay of Morrowind players.

As with the new and distinct Tribunal Temple quests (such as rallying support in Telvanni cities, escorting and so forth), I'd like to ask if House Indoril quests will be directly related to the protection of the Temple/expansion of the Temple in some areas or doing charity missions for the poor in the name of the Temple. (This is referenced in the House Hlaalu book "grasping fortunes")

Since as one of the more obscure Houses (along with House Dres); I'd be wondering how you'll present House Indoril in its own territory and in others. (Like in the first Map having two Indorils, one guarding a Temple and the other personally going to Telvannis District to attempt to get Indoril leverage to build more Temples. This is the same District where they make it a crime to pray to the Tribunal Shrines)

Will House Indoril quests be directly, or indirectly, related to Temple quests/activities? Since Indoril is the conservative House of all the Houses, the most staunch and devout of the Five.

(And All members are apart of the Temple anyway)

How will the Temple/Indoril faction be taken; anyways? Since, as the most devout, I think they would somewhat force the members to join the Temple.

And will there be any restrictions on racial membership? (Such as "We accept all but beast races" or along that.)

Membership in Indoril will be open for all races.

While faction members would not be required to join the temple, from a roleplaying point of view, it would make sense if they did.

Indoril quest lines will deal with the house grasping at the power it once had, and attempting to slow or reverse their decline. This is a very broad overview though, so don't think that this won't involve many things, including the temple.

As for representing the indoril mindset of the man on the street, that will be done with factional dialog just like every other faction.

Ah, thank you.

For Indoril is not only obscure but you guys have both the great opportunity to create the lore around it; since we know only so much.

So some, like me, would assume because the Temple and Indoril are so closely connected to each other; they would force or "recommending" the PC to join the other. (Such as if you join the Temple in Almalexia they advise you to join Indoril if you have not joined a Great House as of yet or vice versa)

But the idea of Indoril trying to expand its power/influence is a good concept, since they are from their once dominant political supremacy. (The leader of the Grand Council being an Indoril can only make me wonder how powerful they were due to their namesake)

And since Indoril and House Redoran are both in a rather poor position and 'buddies', one can only imagine how they will attempt to slow the decline of the Great House of Indoril.

But I do question how the architecture of Indoril will be set up. Are you going for a variety from small time villages to expanding of Mournhold/Almalexia meshes and textures?

Or literally making textures for Indorilan architectures?

The Great House Indoril faction is an awesome faction, and I have some questions about it myself...
