In morrowinds mainland, can you
get another telvanni stronghold like Uviriths grave?

No. Only new Great Houses will offer strongholds on the mainland.

Two Different Great Houses

Post by Neren »

So can you example join to house Dres or Redoran if you
are in vvardenfell telvanni house?

Or only in the mainland telvanni and not to others?

You will only be able to join one of the 5 great houses on a single character unless you modify our files to change this.

Considering the Telvanni are fairly xenophobic, does a Telvanni player have significantly more options in interacting with the locals in the first part of TR?

With locals do you mean the telvanni locals or the foreign
locals?

I mean how much does the experience differ playing as a Telvanni or other house member.

Considering the fact that the Mainland Telvanni (and Hlaalu and Redoran) Great Houses offer a brand new questline, wouldn't it be a little ‘unfair’ for players not to be able to get another stronghold? Moreover, the stronghold these players do have lies on Vvardenfell, which is quite distant from the Mainland.

While it's true that only Indoril and Dres will get to build a new stronghold for the player to live in, that doesn't mean the player won't be getting a place of their own in the other houses. Our old plans for House Telvanni included the player ousting the Mad Lord of Helnim and taking over Tel Narrusa. While that may or may not change, the player will still take over a Tower over the course of the TR Telvanni questline.

No, because you can still only join one Great House, and the location of other Great House strongholds is irrelevant because of this fact. And because it would be more unfair to play through Indoril or Dres and receive one stronghold while players in Hlaalu, Redoran, or Telvanni receive two. However, in the distant future, there is a chance this may change.

Well, looking from this perspective, it is unfair the player can join two branches of those three houses ;P

The player cannot, to my knowledge, join two Great Houses without cheating.

What he means is, it is unfair that the player can join both the vanilla branch and the Mainland branch of existing Houses. But we don't strive for "fairness". If you want to base your choice of House on what sort of stronghold(s) you'll get, or how many quests you get to do, that's fine, but we'll focus on creating five distinct cultures and memorable storylines.
