Why's BSc thesis thread
Anyone care to help me pick a subject?

Currently high on my list are Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and framing effects, Electrification of the car: will the momentum last? and Developing a new view on organizational change and innovation though I've only just received this list and have yet to delve into the specifics of the other subjects, so I'm still open to anything.

Small update: Carbon Capture and Storage it is. Actually, I've expanded the original idea a bit, and then took a detour, and now I'm writing a proposal to research what causes the formation of local resistance groups against localized mining and storage projects by companies in the energy sector.
Hence my inactivity as of late.

I'm still alive. Barely.
Next week will be the decider, and depending on whether my final paper will be any good I might upload it here afterwards for all y'all to enjoy. It's about how local protest groups against underground mining or storage project siting decisions adapt their strategy to avoid the NIMBY stigma. And it's not really interesting, but at least I hope I'm getting the academia right.
So yeah, I'll be back after the 27th of this month.

I'm pretty sure my undergrad thesis would put all of you to sleep and confuse you at the same time.Yeti wrote:Why are you so smart Why? I could never write about whatever it is you were writing about.

I think the question everyone is asking is: so what does cause the formation of local resistance groups against localised mining and storage projects by companies in the energy sector?
'The strange thing about TR is that I think it is by and large accepted that we will finish. We are all the sort of crazy people that would do such a thing. We are inevitable.' ~ Thrignar Fraxix
Whelp, got a 7.25/10 for it so I suppose it's at least halfway decent!
In case anyone wants to read it, https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/757 ... THESIS.pdf - skip the summary, it's bad, start at the introduction.
I'll be reading up on TR-stuff now. Sorry I was gone so long. It's good to be back.
