Perhaps make the monocle less of a lens piece and more of a circle-shaped aperture instead of a slit. Maybe some very thin cloth texture over it that you can see through when it is close to your eye, as it would be while wearing the helm.

Update on the helm. More mesh editing. Also some uv mapping. Made it look more a part of the helm. Two eyepiece textures to choose from.

Added files at top. Should be complete. Should be final. Includes two other helms with hood coverings: cloth and netch leather.

Great! I look forward to playing around with them in the CS. I cannot stress enough how much easier coming up with unique looks for NPCs will be once your models are added to TR_Data.
