Map 2: Darconis (25,1), 5 [C]
I have been lurking around a long time and practising use of the TES designer tools. Now I feel I'm ready to make some contribution, and I'd like to start small with building 5 in Darconis.
I also to point out: This house does not have any windows on the exterior in the downloadable Darconis Pre-Alpha V 2.0. I hope this will be fixed.
My plan for the house: A plain living house for a commoner.

So should I wait making interior windows until the exterior is fixed, or should I make windows and the exterior designer will see this and fix it.Sniper4 wrote:Don't know what to tell ya about the windows though. They will be added after a while...not sure when.
Also I wonder if I should make the door work, I've seen other people's interior claims not having working teleport, but then I've seen others who have, does this matter?
I'm basically finished with this now.
Also I have a name: Hyldvig's House
Hyldvig is obviously a nord female name, I could change that though if someone feels this is the wrong person living there.

a) If you plan to add windows in the interior, please do. (Please make a special note in your Readme if you do.) When Map 2 goes through the 'reviewing' process that Sniper and I usually do with interiors we will note it down and do the relevant changes.
b) No, no teleports on the doors. Draega did make teleports to the doors outside in the Alpha version because his Claim had different rules and regulations then.
c) Nordic name is fine. This town has foreigners and it is Imperial - I see no problems with it.
Yinnie.

this s*** is bananas...b-a-nan-a-s..
It looks very nice, good detail. However you use de_ furniture which is meant for Dunmer cities (Telvanni, Hlaalu, Redoran, Velothi, etc.). In common interiors you should use com_ furniture. That should be used in all common and imperial cities.
I know it's a pain in the butt, but if you look at Bethesda interiors they also follow this rule closely. With review we are told to closely look at the type of furniture and whether it fits the interior. I made the same mistakes in my first Darconis interiors, I added some de_ furniture, thinking that in this town it was allowed. After a talk with Sniper he told me that there should be some Dunmer furniture allowed but very little. (Some since it's a Telvanni/Imperial hybrid town)
I don't wanna criticize your work. Again, it looks fine. I just think this was something you should know before you made more interiors with the same furniture.

Ok, there, changed it now. I didn't know de_ meant Dunmer before.

Interiors but not all of them
Prowler: The purpose of reviewing is making sure the interior fits in the mod before it gets merged. Therefor we mainly focus on two things: lore and detailing. Lore meaning we try to filter out all inconsistencies like wrong books, furniture etc.
For the detailing part we check out if there are any floaters or bleeders, and whether the interior looks as it should. When it's inhabited it needs a lot of clutter to look alive, while an abandonned cave needs a lot of natural objects (rocks/mushrooms etc.) but no traces of 'human' activity.

Mainly that should do it
Sometimes, like in this case with the furniture, it isn't that obvious. I put some silverware and Imperial books into my Telvanni interiors, only later did I find out this was wrong. Well not really a good example since it's quite obvious, but those details are things to keep an eye.
Those are the things you should consider when making interiors, you learn what you can and can't do along the way. There is a new list of things interior modders should keep there eye on here.

Well, actually, silverware itself isn't wrong. In fact, general silver is okay. It's when you have "imperial silver" that we run into problems. However, I've seen plenty of normal silver housewares, and weapons being used in the telvanni area.Vegor wrote: I put some silverware ....... into my Telvanni interiors, only later did I find out this was wrong.
Actually, there are only three items that are silverware and that do not have imperial in their names, namely the Knife, Fork and Spoon. All others are called Imperial Silverware and therefore forbidden in Telvanni area (not counting weapons which I don't classify as silverware in the first place). I used those quite some in richer Telvanni interiors. I also got comments on placing silverware utensils (thus not misc_imp_ ) in Telvanni interiors though. But that seems to be ok then.

Well there is one fork that is a weapon but... There isn't much silver as far as I can tell in the telvanni or Morrowind regions. So most likely all silverware would be imported. However I could see that as something commonly imported since there is a reason silver is used in utensiles in the first place.
I've been looking through telvanni interiors. The utensils show up often, but not the bigger things. The only large silverware thing I saw was a goblet that only showed up one time. So therefore, the only silverware things that should be seen in telvanni areas are the forks, knives and spoons. I'll update my lists immediately.
