Similar to the first fighters guild mission in balmora, kill more of the little pests. shalk infestations, kwama foragers off the walls, and rats! rats like you would never believe!

dont spam, theres the edit button if you want to add on to your message.
Maybe not a guild, but perhaps a little quest somewhere where a guy asks you to help with an infestation.

Well, pest control doesn't really require a whole guild, ya know? Maybe just some fat guy named Larry, but that's about it.

maybe there could be positions as you went up. like a joe would be apprentice level and thatguy could be journeyman and master of the guild could be Larry!

I was joking with the Larry thing.

But really, a Pest Control guild would not be practical. First, there are already plenty of people capable of taking out pests. Secondly, there doesn't seem to be a huge pest problem anywhere. Vvardenfell was surprisingly free of infestations. It just wouldn't be practical to have a guild devoted to such a small problem.

I seriously doubt that there would be any type of coordinated pest control in a midevial environment like Tamriel. your average farmer would know how to take care of some pest and your average city dweller others but only the ones that would most likely affect them if specialised pest controll occured in our own instance of the middle ages then the boubonic plauge would not have been as big a killer as it turned out to be.

Also, while we do apreciate the suggestions you have been making please lay off the spam in these forums.

.... . Though humor is good in some cases, and that includes here. Perhaps a little too much humor is not good and can slow the prosess a bit. And there is the chance that the humor could be seen as disrespect, dishonor to the cause, and irresponsability... Forgive me for sounding great great grandfatherish, and correct me if I am wrong but the TR project is somthing to prize and not something to joked about. And perhaps wanksta could do sucessful work if he took a clear cut view at the objective that TR stands for. Not to say that his ideas are completely intolerable, but to say that they should be worked on and thought through more before they hit the forums.

Hmmmm. Maybe some rich guy is having the emporer visit and he's hired people to clean the streets so if you bring him like 100 bottles and pieces of paper he'll pay you good. even rat skin.

Pest's guild?

Post by Knightsoftamriel »

well, it's not a very stupid idea, since big will have to have someone to keep the pest animals under cntrol. And, the imperial legions and fighters guild might not have the experience to getting rid of animals spreading disease.

A pest control guild would not have enough demand to support itself. The Fighter's Guild can take out pretty much any pest problem, and if they are diseased, the Mage's Guild can solve the problem.

Rats & stuff

Post by Knightsoftamriel »

When I think of pest animals, I think of small damned creatures spreading disease. Forexample I dont think of just some cave rats, if Tamriel are to be like a real world, there be normal rats to. But i agree with Dexter, quests or membership in this guild would pathetic, in old times there were just poor brigands who would do this kind'a work
