Copper Weapons

Post by Morden »

I'm trying to model some new copper weapons. They are supposed to be very basic... even lower on the scale than Iron.

Here is a Copper Shortsword, it is a pretty crude sword. Its not good for slicing or stabbing..its only good for chopping... i designed it sort of like a machete. Its my first weapon in blender3d... trust me.. the other ones look better :P Right now i've got a club, a dagger, and a throwing knife in the works.

I've attached the file converted to 3ds format. I've heard of people having trouble with the exporter, so i'm wondering if somebody might be able to test it out and try converting it to .nif for me. I'm curious to see if the UVmapping holds.

As you can see.. the textures are 'in progress'. The blade will be more of a flat brownish i think.

You use Blender?!?!?! That's what I use but i have never been able to find a 3DMax exporter converter thingy to be able to turn them into .nifs!!! PLZ, WHERE IS THIS 3DMAX CONVERTER EXPORTER WHACHAMACOLIT?

OMG if i can download that then i could do some modeling! YAY!! Im a crappy texture artist though...

Oh yea, and nice dagger :) .

Losing uvw mapping sucks, that has given me so much trouble.

It must have something to do with the exporter, cause i've converted 3ds to NIF before, but that was from 3dsmax 6.
Working on:
