Genre: Cultural
Setting: Non-specific; covers Tamriel, and possibly lands outside Tamriel
List of Characters: No real characters; it's more of a reference book than anything else.
Concept: Well-travelled Sload merchant commissioned by unknown man in 1E to write a book (or rather, dictate it) about traditional marriage practices throught Tamriel (possibly the world). Sload are anything but fast-moving, so the book is only just released in the modern age. It's such a ridiculous idea, and so archiac that it has gained minor popularity in some circles. It's quaintly outlandish. The sload author will probably compare marriage to slavery, which would be a more familiar concept, and one that would entertain modern nobles.
Possible Lore Issues: I haven't actually written any of this out, but the ideas I'm kicking around don't seem to conflict with anything...

It sounds like he's talking about the marriage practices of the common races, as percieved by a Sload, who would liken them to slavery. The Sload don't understand normal emotions like compassion or happiness or despair and given that they have absolutely no interest in their young at all I doubt they become very attached to their mate so their perception of marriage would be rather odd and outlandish to human or elven ears. Sounds like a fun read
General TES Lore Bloke.
And
someone came out of a dream
and it was me.
I knew I was he because I had been told that I was, by others both in the dream and outside of it.
And a black deer said
"Don't Be Afraid".
