CoT Butterflies - for testing

Post by Greybeard »

These are Lady E's butterflies. We looked at them last winter, and felt they were a bit too bright for our purposes. I toned them down, and could use some input on whether you think it's enough. So far, there's no ingredient attached to them. We could maybe do "wings" or something, but I'm not sure it's necessary. These seem nice just as eye candy.

I took a look at them in the editor. They still seem really bright actually. Would it be possible to make the bodies of them black? As opposed to having them all uniformly neon?

actually, morden, if you could do a more simple retexture, it would be awesome I think. Something more earth, not black, maybe more of a dark green and greys and browns?

I'll take a look at the textures if Greybeard doesn't mind.

heh heh I never mind - but thanks for asking. We may wind up with lots more than the nine when you get finished. When you get textures you like, just send them to me and I'll update Lady E' nif's.

I tested this. It was so fun to attack these buggers, cuz it was a one hit kill. But, one problem was that when in combat, if you don't kill it in the first shot, it floats in the air and doesnt move its wings at all before it attacks. So like, your fighting it, and its floating there, attack, flaoting, attack, floating, etc.

Also, while the wings were OK (a bit on the saturated side) the body needs to be a grayish black or brown.
So strange this place. Far from the marsh.

The anim's are Lady E's (not a member of TR), so what you see is what you get. I don't think there's an attack anim, but I'll check the AI and see what I can do.

And Morden is working on the textures, as noted above.
