Armor Claims/Requests

Here is where to claim and request the creation of armor sets and/or individual pieces of armor. Several rules have to be followed in order for a claim to be accepted:
1.The armor must fit within lore, there must at least be a reason why it would logically exist in Tamriel. Both me and another moderator have to agree whether an armor piece is acceptable in order for it to be included.
2.New meshes are preferable, retextured sets are accepted, provided they are of high quality(ex Jeremy's armor or Morden's armor) no Toucan Sam becomes an armor smith allowed here.

NOTE:You can claim an individual piece of armor(ex just a helm and not the full set), but everything has to match.

Vorrheis did a watchmans armor, and if I remember correctly, the others(must check). Yes the durzog armor will be included.

Please only ask for a type, and I will add it to the list in the first post.

A few comments on the claims:
Royal Guard Shield, Royal Guard Towershield - illogical. Royal guards use two handed weapons. They don't need a shield.
complete set Redoran Masters armor - there's only a helmt to represent your Councilor status. No full armor. Told ingame (about the helm I mean).
complete set Redoran Founder's armor - Founder's Helm is the same as Bonemold Helm. So it would be just a Bonemold armor I think.

About towershileds. AFAIK towershields are used during sieges and battles with archers. So regular guards just won't need a towershield. Thus the illogicity.

Ordinators seems to be men of war and participate in battels against other houses and illegal cults. And I think that I have read that they fought against the legions when they occupied morrowind.

Yes, I was having your post in mind also. And Ordinators do NOT fight with other Houses. Plus every Ordinator knows magic. So I think he has more ways to protect himself than wearing big, bulky towershield.

And about Open Indoril helm. Illogical also. Ordinator's helm represents St. Olms. Plus it's used to scare people. So open helm is really illogical also.

Open helm is just an idea if we should make the ordinators joinable.(People that play as beast races also could enjoy to be an ordinator, but it's just an idea.)

Royal Guard Armor is a style helseth took back to morrowind from Wayrest. He just personally equiped them with 2 handed weapons. It would be logical that a shield and towershield would exist in the same style, albeit not in mournhold.

A towershield is just another style of shield, used for anything a shield can be used for.

I don't ever remember reading in game about there only being the helms, show me proof or come up with a better idea for a bonemold armor with some basis in the game.

When you ask in vivec about being an ordinator, they just say that they don't have any oppenings. If one was a member of the Tribunal Temple, I would believe they could join the ordinators.

Where do you got that from ?

I said that the helm's usage is mentioned. And I seriously doubt Redoran councilors will wear full armor for council meetings.

I seriously doubt anyone would wear just a helmet to some sort of meeting. I don't think they'd wear a helmet at all. Maybe just the cuirass, greaves, and boots.

there was a nice Dwemer Towershield in a mod called deus mallei or something. and i remodeled it a little to look less flat. But if we are going to use it we should ask permition and get it.

See what you can do with the armour. Mesh claims aren't really all that strict, as we only have a few meshers here.

I have Photoshop CS 8, and if it's suitable for this kind of work, can you point me to somekind of tutorial about texturing and how to extract items from TESCS to Photoshop?

I assume that this thread is still active so I'll request Hlaalu-specific Armour.

Armun-An is actually traditional Telvanni Armour, but Hlaalu Guards seem to be wearing the helms. Also, I have noticed that House Hlaalu has been...neglected recently and traditional armour would be a major refreshment.
