Claim Request - 2-25: (46,-15): Dwemer Ruin (3 entrances)

Post by Avarr »

I would like to claim the dwemer ruin at (46,-15). Though i have never done dwemer-style construction of interiors i would love to learn and since this is the last claim left ,to my understanding, its as good as any to really start my contribution to TR :) I am just wondering if there are any guildlines that i have to follow in creation of this interior other than, of course, the 3 entrances :P

Thankyou...

Download the map 2 file and check the exterior for geenral shape. Also, no critters, npcs, or unapproved scripts, please.

Other than that, there're not really many things to keep in mind. Teli made some new dwemer meshes, you might want to have a look at them. Also, both dwrv, dwe and sotha sil meshes may be used (sotha sil only in moderate portions please, and none of the "chip-coloured" walkways). Download and use the linked utility below to gain an overview of what is in the game concerning meshes and tiles.

Granted. Happy modding!

If it's supposed to have a name, that name will just be changed in merging. I'm not aware of any name though, so it's propable that yours will stay. :)

I am having a problem with the layout of the interior. The exterior doesn't leave me with much to work with really...i can have two tower interiors and the 3 entrances, plus a small storage area next to the ladder. I just need to know if its necessary to make something other than the above...Thanks for your time :)

The dwemer tend to dig deeply into the ground.

If you feel that you don't have enough room based off the exterior - it would be reasonable to tunnel into the ground and make underground rooms.
Quantity has a quality all its own.

Ummm if you can, take a look at the exterior, i have tried to see how i could make a larger area under the earth but i don't think its possible. Basically the two towers are standing on cliffs near the water. Give me a little and i'll show you my progress...
