As we progress further with exterior cells, we will eventually be in need of new tilesets for exteriors once we get into Skyrim. Bloodmoon provides some, but we want Skyrim to look as diverse as Morrowind.
Since we are too far along with morrowind exteriors we won't be able to use more than the bethesda region styles.
This forum is for the sole discussion of new regions and corresponding texture sets.
Claims will not be open until we are close to a new province, but discussion will be open. An entire region's textures will not be granted to one person, too many textures are required. Instead, those who wish to work on new styles will be put in teams to keep the look of the region consistent.

And those retextured yurts look cool too. Maybe for nomadics in Skyrim?
Also, Eyeball is working on a werebear model, with three different textures. One of those models will be a artic werebear. Maybe we could use these artic textures too?

Hey, adding new regions is very possible for us! it's called "detailer's team". I made a very large list of places that TR should make into new regions (in my opinion), i'll try to dig it up with the magic of "search".

The Wizards Islands team has quite a few high-quality snow textures. What would you say to getting ahold of them and asking if their textures are available to the wider community?

Telvanni Islands
being an island, the climate would obviously be different. i imagine it would use a generous covering of large, root-abundant trees (new models needed) and maybe even the mushrooms that telvanni make their houses out of (new model also needed).
Ralen Woods
Just like an AI area, but no trees except a complete-canopy creating layer of tree models similar to those in the Argon Jungle; but less "swamp-like". would be an easy modification for any modeller.
Emerald Forest
Using only MH trees - and LOTS of them. There would be a layer of 2X scale big ones, normal scale big ones, and 2X scale little ones, and use of GL rocks, but otherwise just like an AI area. The container flora would be all the plants from mournhold except the cacti, and all the AI plants too.
Perhaps a modeller could make lower-poly versions of the trees mentioned; as the current ones eat FPS like a fat man eats beef jerky.
Shipal-shin
A very dry, savannah-like area. basically just GL, but using the statics and textures differently to provide a unique take on the region-type.
6-16 area mountains
almost desert-like area. Gl and MH trees would be used in addition to WG trees, and the cacti plants would be frequent here. Would also span across a tiny bit of 6-3. Plus, in cells nearing the border, some of the smaller Argon Jungle plants could be used.
Marshes of Map 5
this is easy. Just add in a good amount of the telvanni isles trees, which alone would make this region stand out.
4-13 marsh area
This is already awesomely unique, but to give it an even greater coating of awesomeness add in a few of the willow trees made by majra.
Inner Sea
I strongly suggest we make more islands in the maps 1/2 area, and generally fill it in with seafloor statics all the way. A few new islands around map 4 wouldnt hurt either. Currently, it looks dull as hell, like we kept a claim that was only 30% complete.
Almalexia Area
This should be obvious - use ONLY plants from MH and for rock use BC_rock_04 (just like mournhold). we dont want people to find ascadian isles flora and rocks outside of a city that clearly had its own texture and flora plans.
I made some rocks with this texture earlier, so if you want those PM me.
Sacred Land Region
Currently fairly unique with its blend of GL and WG, but I think it could be even more unique. I would suggest to have some form of new trees be used in addition to what is already there.

texturing
i am pretty good at creating original textures so if u need any help just pm me. i mainly do clothing textures but i will be willing to do any other texture work if needed.
