Firstguard armor?
Yes indeed, that would be cool. But you might have to lower the armor class, and change the sound it makes when the character/npc steps so that it doesn't sound like heavy armor, or something.

Firstguard armor?
Okay. Say it was medium armor. The game would consider it a pair of medium boots, so the pc/npc would have medium armor footstep sounds instead of barefoot lizard steps. Although I bet no one would notice that...besides me.

Firstguard armor?
Fabric a metal would be cool...sorta like studded leather, with cloth instead of leather?
Hey, no need to edit the ini with my patched version!
I've attempted to make a retex a long time ago, but it sucked. The models are kind of hard to texture.

So strange this place. Far from the marsh.

I sympathise with whatsisface. Negrodomous. It is bla.. but the only thing that needs to be done to fix that is to retexture it. The meshes are great, but the textures are quite frankly "bla".
No, as a matter of fact I do not know what you're talking about, and frankly I find you smelly and disappointing.

Please take longer than 5 days to do a full set of armor. Take your time. Patience is key. Don't upload the first version and call it done. Let it sit on your hardrive for a while and go back. You should spend atleast 5 days on the troll bone boots and greave alone.. if not more. Its even more critical that you take your time with a full set, because you have to coordinate styles across the all of the different peices.
Take your time to find a style. Start with the cuirass and create the style's main features, then adapt those features to the smaller peices. As you go, update your style to add better details and to change the designs if you discover something which looks better.
I have many, many different versions of the 8 steels cuirasses i retextured. Those 8 are the final product, of dozens of stylistic revisions each.
I'm sure you'll create some good work, but you'll have to take your time. Especially if your learning.. the longer you take, the more you will learn. I learnt a lot with the steel armors, and i still constantly revise my new projects.

Still, rather take your time and produce something high quality than rush things because you want to get it out fast. TR isn't gonna die if we don't get the armour pronto, but it is gonna die if we ise second-rate stuff. Time isn't of the essence here. Quality is.

Hey, if Negrodomous doesn't want to retexture it, I'll give it a go.
So, instead of that plastic-looking green scaley stuff, would leather work ok? And as for the dark metal, would Hist wood work alright? (that is, if Negrodomous doesn't want to do it.)
Oh, and by the way if you want to retexture it, you'll have to use the version I posted, because the original version was compressed into a bsa file, thus the need to edit the ini. There were no models or textures, just a bsa. I fixed that in my patched version.

Hey, I'm no expert texturer, but here's what I've done by hand so far. I haven't done anything with the greenish scale stuff yet, but I plan to replace it with leather. By the time it's done I plan for nothing from the original to be showing, though I'm going to need to don something to the bone stuff because it look quite bleak, no?

Add runes, scratches, lashes, colouring, ornaments, anything. Check the other, Bethsoft-made, armours, especially chitin, netch leather, boiled netch leather, and all mails, for inspiration. Just add small detail, it'll do wonders in beefing up the plain looks of this armour.
I like how you started out, but it still needs some work.

Not doing the footpads?
We don't really have any argonian runes... maybe just something that looks like war-paint? Some stripes of color that look crudely painted on... n would certainly add some character.
I like the new color for the chitin/resin part that you've worked on. When I suggested bones, I was talking about those edges on the pauldrons and the upper chestplates where it looks like there's some sort of frame peice. The whole thing wouldn't be bone... after all, bones are quite weak and brittle... That color you made looks like it could be some form of chitin anyway; I would suggest that you add some cracks/scratches on it if you want it to be less boring. The specular highlights are nice.
For the under-part... hmm... leather works good... although having a darker color under the lighter parts may look odd. It's really hard to say.. it wouldn't be the chainmail that it is now, but then simply being cloth might look weak. Maybe some form of combination, like the boiled netch leather cuirass would look nice.
