Snow on Velothi Mountains

Post by Feored »

I'm working on Claim 4-22 which consists entirely of the Velothi mountain chain.
Since these mountains are meant to be uncrossable except for the passes, what about snowcovered peaks? Would look quite impressive.
There is no vulcanic activity here which would explain the snow, while the even higher Red Mountain is snowfree.

a) Can you imagine snow near the volcano ? That's why there's no snow on the Red Mountain.
b) Velothi mountains border with Skyrim. So I think they MUST consist snow.

Just a small question: have you taken a look at the description in the available claim's thread for map 5? It says there how you're s'posed to treat the area which is no snow anywhere except on really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, high mountain peaks. None of the mountains should reach Red Mountain's height as that is the tallest mountain on Tamriel, so if your mountains are close to the height of Red Mountain (none should be the same height or taller than RM) then the peaks would be snow-capped.

The mountain aren't even to close in height to RM (still 5k left). And Claim 4-22 is quite far to the south, just south of Vivec City, but I'll keep the snow anyway.
Have a look at the first screenshot in the Map4 Forum.

um...no one else with a claim with velothi mountains has snow on THEIR mountains, and you only have snow on mountains about 3k higher.
