The Travels of Cyrollius Trebiel, Explorer Extraordinaire The Unwelcoming Dunmer of "Great House" Telvanni Dear reader, I pride myself on my ability to travel the world and record it all here in my journels for your enjoyment and enlightenment. This has required me to come into contact with many unsavory sorts of people over the years. That all being said, I can say with much certainty that few have been as unwelcoming and unpleasent as the mer of the so-called "Great House" Telvanni! It all began when I stepped off the family ship and beheld a most wonderous sight! My servants told me this place was known as Port Telvannis. Enormous towering mushroom sprouting from all about with robed Dunmer wizards floating from tower to tower as though this were perfectly normal! I could not help but gasp at the sheer bizarrity of it all. The magesty of such a place contrasted with the mundane and apathetic attitude everyone around me had to such a thing! You would think that with such an introduction to the port city that everything would remain positive, wouldn't you my dear reader? Oh if only! As I made my way through the city streets, still in awe of the massive roots and towering stems above me, I found very few stores and establishments for me to explore. I spotted what appeared to be a guard walking in my direction so I decided to approach and inquire as to why that may be. The guard then simply said "Look up, outlander." and pointed up to what appeared to be a small platform on the edge of one of these mushroom pods with a door on it. I noted to him that there don't appear to be any stairs, to which he laughed! Laughed I tell you! When I showed my displeasure with his amusement at the whole situation, his mood soured quite rapidly. It was then that he inquired about my "hospitality papers" and that he would need to see them. This was my first time hearing of such a thing and I explained as such, to which he simply told me to find someplace called "The Avenue" on the otherside of the city! I responded rather harshly that this was absurd! This was no way to treat a guest! My retort seemed to deeply annoy the guard, as all former professionalism was immediately discarded and replaced with outright hostility! This man began to berate me with comments such as "Why should we be welcoming to obnoxious foreigners such as yourself?" and "If you can't even be asked to simply levitate then why should we care what you have to say or think?" and many other obscene statements that I shall not record here as they were most foul! This disgraceful guard then called me something sounding like "Enwa" then commanded my quite rudely and loudly to leave! To add to the insanity and frustration of it all, I then heard laughing from above our heads. I look up only to see a band of three floating wizards staring down at me and all of them were laughing at my humiliation! One of them even had the audacity to bellow down "Best just go home, outlander!" before his companions and himself floated away still laughing loudly at my plight. I can tell you now that I stormed back over to my ship with a fury burning within me like no other! By the Nine, to think I believed the High Elves were haughty and infuriating. My father back home in Cyrodiil shall hear of this, and I sincerely doubt he will be too pleased of his beloved third son being treated in such a manner. Such was his love for me that he was all too willing to lend me the family ship in support of my dream to see and document all of Tamriel through my unique perspective. These wretched "Telvanni" know not what they have just unleashed upon themselves and who they have just angered! As a matter of fact, I shall begin my letter home immediatly! I can only hope the next location shall be more welcoming of an Imperial of my sophistication and breeding than this disgrace of a city has been.
