As I'm sure some of you are aware, Drakehold sits in the Sacred Lands region, no longer with a reason to exist. Originally, there was a book associated with the events of Drakehold. However, the team decided that the backstory behind it was stupid.  Arguably, it was but what it did was add potential for a possible quest. Those of you that have read the book about Drakehold should know what I mean.

Now here’s the real problem with Drakehold ruin:
Now that the book was removed and no other indication of why it should exist is, made, why is it still there? The only thing inside are undead really and it’s not even that big of a location inside.  What needs to be done is creating a backstory for the location more fitting of the present TR vision.

We need to take these key points into consideration while doing this:
-Why does Drakehold exist?
-Why are undead roaming around?
-If this place is morbid and creepy, how come nobody, not even the Tribunal priests on a nearby ranch, talk about it?

The old book mentioned that the inhabitants all mysteriously died. There’s more to it than that of course but as we know that original story was rather unfitting of our current vision, hence why it was removed.

Personally, I think it could fit into the Imperial Legion questline, if for no other reason than because it was formerly an imperial fort of sorts.  Surely the undead there make awful noise that the priests on the ranch nearby hear at night. Lots of quest potential I think here. Another thing that might need to be done is to make the location bigger. It’s too damn small IMO.

With the old story, I think it’s safe to assume that the imperial family that lived ther built on top of an ancestral tomb or something. I mean, this ruin is in the Sacred lands region.

Anyway, discuss.

Edit: for those wondering what the book said: http://pastebin.com/mBSFyjd9

I had the story backed up for future reference in a text file.
