Indoril Characters & Questlines

Important Characters

Indoril Neril Dorom of the Ascending-Timsa-Flower-House of Dorom (47 corners). Muthser-ithil of the Our Mother’s Garden. Bearer of her husband’s Wing-Faced Visage. Kin-Ascendant of the House of Foundations. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed, and Grand Adjumeditator of the Laws Determined. Lector-Enlightened of the Whispering School.

A devout mer, the Grand Ascendant of House Indoril has spent much of his later life in quiet contemplation. He has struggled to muster a firm reponse to Hlaalu expansioninism, favouring the seclusion and tranquility of his chapel. Preferring to tend his garden over the affairs of his House, responsibilites of governance have largely fallen to his subordinate, Arveth Sandil. He dies at the beginning of the game, leaving Indoril scrambling to keep itself together in these changing times.

Indoril Arvalith Sandil of the Seneschal-House Sandil (43 corners). Muthser-sil Gorne of the Eastern Star and the Countless Gardens-Beyond. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed, and Master of the Laws Determined.

While he shares the same ritualistic and devout tendencies as his kin, Arvalith Sandil is also rather pragmatic and progressive within the context of Indoril society. With Neril Dorom in seclusion, much of the resposibilities of House Governance has fallen to him. Asides from his duties as House Seneschal, he is also Muthser-sil Gorne, and Master of the Eastern Shores.

Indoril Draler Ilvi of the Winged-Kwoom-House of Ilvi (38 corners). Muther-sil Roa-Dyr of the Star-Wound and the Countless Gardens-Beyond. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed, and Master of the Laws Determined. Learned of the School of Tilling.

As Muther-sil Roa Dyr, Draler Ilvi is one of the most powerful Illuminated Elders of House Indoril. His enlightenment and study of the Laws Determined span many ages, though they have taken a toll on his sanity. He counts the years of his illumination by instructing his servants to hang lanterns around the Gardens, as a symbol of accumulated wisdom. He vainly believes that in practicing such extreme rituals, he will reach the state of Ascension. A former pupil of the School of Tilling, his dominion spans much of the Heartland, including the Thirr River valley, and in theory, also the lands of Veloth and Narsis. It is rumoured that he desires sainthood, and is said to be preparing his mind (and machinations) for when that time does come.

Indoril Everi Thanoram of the House of Thanoram (22 corners). Muther-sil Yed-Neyn of Our Mother’s Adamant Heart. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed, and Master of the Laws Determined. Learned of the Comprehensive College.

Everi Thanoram is one of the newest additions to the Illuminated Circle, and also one of the youngest Indoril to reach that stage of enlightenment. He is devout and extremely pious, though rash and not uninterested in politics. He derives much of his power from owning the province’s only Adamantium mine near his stronghold of Yed Neyn. His absolute control of the mine has become a cause of concern back in Almalexia, where it is said his extreme interpretations of Determined Law threaten both the economy and House Governance. His piety and ritualism will eventually come to heads with other Elders, who are struggling to maintain the House’s relevance in these changing times. It is rumoured he has been channeling the mine’s wealth to support a violent sect of fundamentalist Indoril that threatens to upset the fragile political situation on the Orethan.

Indoril Ienen Tomaril of the Ashen-Egg-House of Tomaril (34 corners). Muther-sil Dun-Senim of the Cradle of Third Anticipation and the Gardens-In-Denial. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Master of the Laws Determined.

Heirless and aging, Ienen Tomaril’s days are numbered. Though he sees this, he remains a stout figure and proud of his service. His constant attempts at correcting the Gardens-In-Denial have made him frail, though he continues to push himself in this endeavour as he feels it is his obligation and duty to do so, even if it comes at the expense of his own House and those under him. Back in the capital, his health has spurred political intrigue as to who will succeed him as Muther-sil, as the area’s lucrative egg-mines are a source of great wealth and power.

Indoril Ienen Salvu of the House of Salvu (30 corners). Muthra-sil Nadehyam of Yad Orethan. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Master of the Laws Determined. Rector of the Flowering School.

Devout and reclusive, Ienen Salvu of the Flowering School has continued her House traditions as stewards of the garden of Orethan. Using her accumulated enlightenment, she claims to tame the once harsh lands of Orethan for what she claims to be a higher purpose. However this has led her to become out of touch with other Indoril, who view her meditations as contrarian to Determined Law. Although delusional, Salvu’s family maintains a chapel where they preach her ruminations on Temple teachings to the serfdom, teaching them to till the fields under their care.

Indoril Meris Denaven of the Rended-Wing-House of Denaven (13 corners). Muther-sil Mol-Murya of the Snake-Father’s Mouth and Gardens of Salt. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Master of the Laws Determined.

Having sundered itself from the heterodoxy of the Deshaan, the House of Denaven attained Illumination in the most unconventional of ways. Having sacrificed his ancestors’ bonestocks to pay his house’s debts, the Denavens lost much of their power and status to attain Kinship with Indoril. He was only able to assume his seat by inheriting it from another branch of his family. Meris Denaven now struggles with this legacy, and often finds himself attempting to use Determined Law to reconcile mainstream Temple doctrine with traditional ancestor worship. He will eventually work with the player on a mission to recover his lost bonestocks in Deshaan in exchange for his favour (possibly to the chagrin of Dres, I also do not know the mechanics of this or how it will work or be represented ingame if at all).

Indoril (player) of the Reborn House. Muther-sil Id-Vano of the Heart Tower and its’ Hanging Jewels. Poet-champion. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Master of the Laws Determined. Learned of the Whirling School.

Indoril Ivis Oryalen of the House of Oryalen (14 corners). Muther-lun Bis-Indaryn of the Mother’s Glade. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Practicer of the Laws Determined.

Indoril Delera Indalas of the House of Indalas (16 corners). Muthra-lun Am-Mar of the Sundered Rift. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Practicer of the Laws Determined. Learned of the Watering School.

Indoril Edril Morabun of the House of Morabun (11 corners). Muther-lun Naan-Av-Orethan. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Practicer of the Laws-Determined.

Indoril Eras Andil of the House of Andil (12 corners). Muther-lun Bet-Yhdas of the Kwam-crest. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Practicer of the Laws-Determined.

Indoril Falsa Uralas of the House of Uralas (11 corners). Muthra-lun Ith-Endal of the Toiled Fields. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed and Practicer of the Laws-Determined.

Indoril Ulas Sathil of the House of Sathil (10 corners). Muther-lun Iv-Sathil of the Orethan. Sworn Keeper of Delyn’s Creed.
