On the Importance of Heresy

On the Importance of Heresy
by Golsu Farelas, Temple scholar

”To purge the Corners one must first enter the House.”
– The maxim of Saint Olms

It is usual for the common Velothi to believe that heretics are a nuisance to the Temple much like the vermin Scrib is a nuisance to a Comberry farmer. In their naivety, which no one should hold against them, they believe that like the farmer who wishes the vermin would simply leave their crops alone, the Temple would wish the heretics would simply disappear.

A Dunce in Morrowind, v3

TITLE: A Dunce in Morrowind, v3
AUTHOR: Frolja Silver-Blood

When I woke the next morning, I was shocked to discover we were all in jail.

”Hey!” I said, standing up, hitting my head on the roof. “What’s this about?”

“Be quiet,” said the guard standing outside.

”Quiet? I’ve done nothing wrong!”

”We’ll be the judge of that,” the guard said. I looked around. One of us was missing.

”Oi. Where’s the mage woman?”

A Dunce in Morrowind, v2

Lucky was I to have a guide to the Eastern land, Morrowind, in Remyn Sadrethi, who told me he is an up and coming merchant of House Hlaalu, travelling to the Old Run on business. The walk was long, but Remyn was so stingy that he wouldn’t even pay for the silt strider in Gnisis.  It was also fortunate for me that he was good with his magic, which helped keep the cliff racers and kagouti away from us.

”Ald’Ruhn is the seat of House Redoran on Vvardenfell,” he said to me.

It was a cold morning in the West Gash, when Remyn found me standing naked by the side of the road. He gave me a contemptful look, but slowed his pack guars and his walk as he came to me. After staring at me like I was stupid for another minute or two, he finally spoke.

”Why are you naked, Nord?”

I was rather smug in my response.

Old Forum: Summarizing the Fighters Guild

TL;DR

The best summary is given by Rats in this Topic http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/old_forum/viewtopic.php?t=24673

The Fighters Guild in Morrowind.

Even though the fighters guild has been met with opposition, it has gained a significant foothold in the province. House Hlaalu and Dark Elves who don't mind the Empire see the fighters guild as useful business partner, whereas conservative Dunmer(Indoril for example) are more hostile against the idea of the fighters guild, seeing it as foreign occupation.

The current situation

The fighters guild is faced with collapse, the guild has managed well in the province, but the reasons behind their succes are laid bare. Though officially controlled by the guild leader in Cyrodiil and the Imperial Council, the guild is gradually taken over/influenced by the Camonna Tong.

The guild is split in half: those whom are controlled by the Camonna Tong and those who aren't. These forces will have to collide eventually.

Not only the Tong's corruption is a threat, the current leader of the guild: Grandmaster Joccathe of Bladed-Hymnals, has left the guilds headquarters, in search for medition. She has become more doubtful about the presence of the guild in Morrowind, thinking that, maybe, Morrowind would be better of without the Fighters Guild. Her dwelling on the ancient roots and ethics of the fighters guild, makes her blind to what the Tong's corruption does to the guild.

The player's plot.

The player's role is to uncover the truth behind the corruption and use this gained knowledge as the player sees fit. The player Chooses between two paths and decides for himself which one to take.

Relation to the Thieves Guild.
When choosing one of the options, the choice would lead to a open conflict with the Thieves Guild. Because of this, the player would be required to kill key members of the Thieves Guild, making the Thieves Guild questline incompletable.

The Bridge

Throwing this up. A story of a thief-turned-priest and his attempts to become a Buoyant Armiger.

Notes:
*This is editted from it’s original form, in which it was an introduction of the player concept of Templars. I’ve changed this over to mean Buoyant Armigers to better reflect TR’s lore, but some references may still need tweaking.
