If you're doing a mainland only run, it's surprisingly difficult to find where you're supposed to join House Hlaalu.
The topic "join House Hlaalu" does have dialogue lines filtered for Hlaalu members in Andothren, but there's no one that would give you the topic, so you're left without any directions until you talk to Dreynos Helvi.
I've checked how vanilla does it, and it's kinda similar there (the regular Hlaalu members don't give you the "join House Hlaalu" topic, you have to talk to Nileno Dorvayn), except that there's the Ralen Hlaalo quest that serves as a hook to direct you to Nileno who offers you to join Hlaalu if you're not a member already.
So I think we should have a similar hook in Andothren, specifically that Nalvyna Balen should tell you to talk to Dreynos Helvi after completion of https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Tamriel_Rebuilt:Packrat and give you the "join House Hlaalu" topic.

Fix: Edits Nalvyna Balen's dialogue line at the completion of the quest so she tells you to visit Dreynos Helvi.

If the "House Hlaalu" topic would have been setup correctly, it would have been significantly easier to find out that you have to visit Dreynos Helvi. It was set up in the same way as in Balmora (people directing you to Dreynos instead of Nileno if you want to know about the House), but those lines were blocked by some misplaced dialogue entries. Good that a fix for that was also merged with the hotfix. But this fix makes sense too.
