Hey there, TR devs and lurkers! Let's see if we can get some awesome concept art and take care of a bottleneck cutscene in the process. :)
Entries will comprise of three stills (or two, one with some minimal changes). Each should be a large image, IN COLOR. Style can be more realistic or more stylish, but preferrably it should match the Morrowind Aesthetic. (See this official concept art book for ideas: https://www.imperial-library.info/content/art-morrowind )
Below are the images required for entry:
Still #1: An image of Nerevar and his generals (the Tribunal, among others) looking down at the battlefied of Red Mountain, during the War of the First Council.
Stills #2 and #3: These two stills are a closeup of Vivec from the previous scene. In both stills, he is looking towards Nerevar. In Entry #2, he has his best poker-faced stern-general expression on. In Entry #3, he is engimatically smirking, perhaps as Nerevar has turned away.
While reference images for the Tribunal themselves can be found around the interweb, please note that all pictured should be Chimer, and Nerevar has a reddish mohawk in TR's canon. Vivec may or may not have hair at this time period as well.
Entries will be judged for their Morrowind style as well as their compatibility with being used in a cutscene. (See this WoW video as an example of stills used in a cutscene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYkOcoyrAaI --animation/movement not required.)
Deadline is the end of May, but late entries will be continued to be accepted through June.
The winning entry will be included in the TR mod as part of a cutscene for TR's main quest; the winner may be asked to make small adjustments as needed to their images for this purpose. Honorable mentions get nothing I am afraid, except for bragging rights and the option for their entries to be included in TR's concept art galleries.
Let's get to arting!

You forgot the other two stills.
So....
No.
Also, they were all supposed to be Chimer. That is clearly a pygmy Altmer, an Orsimer in clear need of some body-building training, and a kalpa remnant from the Blue Man Group in Las Vhul. Mehrunes Dagon would like to have a word with you.

Didn't Vivec have hair at this point, seeing as Foul Murder depicts him with hair?

He has hair, it just is also green, so you can't see it.

Now you took away my most obvious reason for disqualifying you.
Two cutscenes, the actual cut, and...Iskuss version. (If it's buried in the data it still technically counts as being in the mod, yes?)

So, doesn't necessarily follow your guidelines, but I thought I'd throw out some ideas in regards to shot composition.
First image (group in color) is my initial idea of the shot, with the one Chimer in front my general idea of how the art direction would go (kind of in the vein of Kirkbride's art, and a little Darkest Dungeon-esque) and color usage. Not much in the way of armor detail for anyone.
Second image (vivec in color) was mostly me testing the watercolors and so the framing is boring but I think it's a general Vivec idea.
Third (group sketch) is a different shot from a low angle if you wanted something more in that vein.
Fourth (vivec sketch) is another idea for the headshot, but with almalexia and nerevar kind of still gazing in the distance. Maybe some heavy depth of field would work here.
Fifth (mage) is just an example of my usual coloring (more painting rather than illustration) if the Kirkbride copy doesn't appeal.

Hey, are you still looking for entries for this? And if so, what size do you want the images to be?

We are still taking entries, yes. Size--well, I was going to say fullscreen, but that's changed quite a lot from vanilla Morrowind. 640 x 480 is the absolute smallest. Biggest I would put at vanilla's Morrowind's biggest which is 1400 x 1050 iirc. Use a 4:3 ratio.
