Hi, I'm a fan of Morrowind and I've been playing through the Tamriel Rebuilt mod for the first time. I just want to say that it's such an amazing mod - so much content and so many beautiful locations to explore. Thanks so much to everyone that has been involved with this!

I created an Argonian fighter and after gaining a few levels went over to the mainland to check it out. I arrived first in Marog, which a really cool Telvanni city on the side of a cliff - great concept! I was gobsmacked by the amazing scenery. I then travelled to Helnim to find some Fighter's Guild quests (as I didn't quite fancy joining Telvanni). A really huge city and so much to see and do there. I then had a lot of fun in Akamora, which is another beautiful city, doing some quests for the Fighter's Guild there. However, the Indoril didn't seem too friendly to outlanders, so after that I went to Old Ebonheart, to take a look at the new Aanthirin region. It's a really nice area - looks great and there seem to be a lot of cool things to do there too. I've been doing some Fighter's Guild quests from Old Ebonheart, as well as a couple of bounties for House Indoril. Not sure where I'll go from here - who knows! laugh

Anyway, I have a couple of questions:

1. I'm using OpenMW. Does anyone have any advice for what are the best graphics settings to use with TR? Particularly in terms of increasing the view distance, to see all the amazing scenery. I'm using a desktop PC with a GTX 1050. Currently I have distant terrain enabled and the view distance is set quite far. In wilderness areas I'm getting typically 20-30 FPS, which seems smooth enough, although in busier urban areas it's dropping to 6-8, which is pretty bad.

2. I had a bit of a problem with one of the Fighter's Guild quests from Old Ebonheart - A Champion Lost. I'm supposed to try to recover the remains of some lost Dunmer ancestor. The boss in the Fighter's Guild recommended I start searching in the Munumnabi cave, a little way south of OE. However, I swear I have scoured that cave from top to bottom and haven't been able to find any clues relating to the quest. Is that the intention, that you go there and don't find anything, or could I be missing something? I used levitation potions to check all the high-up ledges in the largest cave.

Thanks again to everyone who is involved in this amazing project. I can't wait to see the future releases!

I'm no developer of this project, but can tell you about the graphic settings.
First you probably just have two gigabyte of video ram, and should not set too far distant terrain. Due to that neck of a bottle it could help a lot to reduce it a few steps. Morrowind optimazation patch, atlas and atlas textures are also noteworthly to install if you hadn't. And if there is still air up there silent knights reshade preset on nexus is a better option then too far view distance.

Another thing that'll help is turning off shadows and lowering the water shader quality.

And thanks! I hope you enjoyed the bounties. As far as the OE Fighter's Guild is concerned - unfortunately I've yet to play it (one day, it's on my list).

Actually, it looks like there was already a bug report filed for that quest. Apparently there was supposed to be a note in the cave somewhere, but it wasn't being generated. I'll download the updated files and try it again myself, when I get a chance smiley

A new up to date ReShade of mine on nexus. It's a bit more performance friendly, as well as visually optimized.
