Hi,

here is my interior showcase for a Hlaalu house, the person living there is an alchemist.

I hope you'll like it!

The interior's looking good, you used proper dunmer assets and incorporated some TD ones as well.

  • Int devs never load interiors with TR_mainland.esm as a dependency, so use Wrye Mash to tick the box next to the esm with your plugin loaded. (https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/tutorial-esm-esp-understanding-m...
  • Shell pieces are properly grid snapped (room pieces, doors), but it appears that you had moved it off the grid afterward. This is bad because new pieces will not be able to snap to the shell if they need to be replaced or added in. Use gridsnap 32 or 64 (no lower than 32) to move them back on the grid and make sure your shell pieces don't have decimals in the position number.

Fix these two issues and I will give it a more in-depth review, including lighting and bleeding and floating objects to be fixed.

Name: TR_Showcase
Clean: Yes
Lighting: Sunlight should be around 10/10/10, no lower than 20. Vanilla uses higher sunlight values, but this isn't the case for TR.
Several light sources have radii that are too big, which is causing greenlight. As a general rule, use 128 for lamps and lanterns and 64 for candles. Using lights without 128 or 64 for a house claim should be avoided.
Northmarker: Present, correct
Fits exterior: Doesn't fit existing hlaalu shell
Pathgrid: Missing.
Illegal to Sleep Here: Yes, correct
Gridsnap: Yes

Bleeders:
com_sack_02 x3 (These are good to bleed, but not this much)
com_sack_01_saltrice_10 x3 (bleed too much into other sacks)
com_sack_03 (bleeding into wall and other sack, also is floating)
com_sack_01 (bled too much)

Floaters: (Use F key to drop onto flat surface, should have a dotted line when correctly placed)
active_de_p_bed_12
p_cure_common_s x2
light_de_candle_16_64 (floating slightly)

Other:

  • Use ropes to hang lanterns from the ceiling. TR doesn't just push them up into the ceiling like vanilla does sometimes.
  • Your interior lacks tapestries. You should add a few, and also a couple more rugs. These two things are the bread and butter of cluttering, so get used to using them.
  • Some of your objects and containers look oddly placed. They should be pushed against the wall for maximum navigability.
  • flora_comberry_01: Use a different plant. This one is very large, there are lots of smaller ones to be used in houses like these.
  • The downstairs storage area is quite bare. Clutter this some more.
  • ingred_bc_bungler's_bane: These can be rotated so the rope goes through a smaller portion, as opposed to the entire side

Always check that you are correctly placing items. Sacks should be bled to hide the tips, but not too aggressively that it's obvious. Please read this to get a better feel of how to place objects: https://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/tutorial-item-placement-tutorial.

The interior lacks a pathgrid. Make sure that you include one in your next file.

Fit the interior to an existing hlaalu shell in vanilla, which can be found under ex_hlaalu_b. Fitting this to ex_hlaalu_b_16 would be easiest, and would only require moving the doors.
