By the way you can check in photoshop for transparency by looking at the channels window, which will show CMYK, RGB, or RGBa for also alpha. That’s how I check them. It usually shows up in conjunction with the layers window.
Does: concepts, textures, youtube vids, admin stuff e.g. PR, handbook, assets, small website things. Activity level: wildly unpredictable. Still active. Find me on Discord.

@10Kaziem, thanks for the advice! But sadly I can’t see anything that would indicate transparency? Is it a symbol? Or is the alpha channel layer I created for the mask, what indicates transparency? :/
Black is transparent, white is opaque, with greys being varying amounts of transparency. If you select a channel you can work exclusively in that channel, meaning you can work solely on the alpha channel if you wish. This tutorial might help: http://www.axialis.com/tutorials/tutorial-misc001.html
