Hello,

Attached is my showcase file.

I've gone with a simple Hlaalu house. The story behind the piece is that a former agent of the blades lives there in retirement. He's a bit washed up and troubled by his past. He's not very wealthy, and lives a modest life now. He's doing his best to put his past behind him, and enjoys history. (This is why there is a history book on the shelf upstairs.)

I have updated my file following some reccomendations on the discord. Mainly adding clutter, frixing some *very* slightly floating items, and swapping TR furniture models to vanilla models,\ and adjusting items to lay flat on the non-flat surface. With the clutter I added some hidden items (check the pillow and bed), keepsakes, and things of that nature.

Re-cleaned and adjusted path-grid. Add a little fog, darkened room, added custom light object.

Welcome and thank you!

Name: TR_Subliminal_Showcase

Clean: Yes

Esm dependencies: ok

Northmarker: Present, ok

Light: Sunlight value is too high, put it below 20.

Illegal to sleep here: Yes, correct.

Gridsnap: Ok

Pathgrid: Ok

Fits exterior: Yes

Floaters:

  • misc_uni_pillow_01 – pillows and sacks considered to be soft objects which need to be sunk into the surface for a couple of inches.
  • T_Com_Rope_01 – this asset has an end pointing down which prevents it to be properly F-dropped on the surface the first time you do it. Make a second F-drop for it to sit flush.
  • All of your vertical books should be carefully brought together. Currently, they have gaps between each other, which would cause them to fall. Also, it would be good to add a (poor Dunmer) bookend or two.

Bleeders:

  • potion_local_liquor_01 – could use some more rotation to sit flush.
  • T_Imp_Drink_WineSour – pokes through the back of the winerack.

Set-mixing (your interior should be Dunmer Poor):

  • Furn_Com_Planter – is a non-Dunmer planter that’s usually used in Imperial interiors.
  • furn_de_r_table_08 – this is a rich class table. -r- in the ID stands for rich.
  • Silverware should be changed to wooden utensils. Silver is for rich non-Dunmer households.
  • 2 x T_De_FurnM_Shelf_01 – these shelves are middle-class (-M- stands for middle).
  • T_Com_WoodTray_a01 – a rich-class Imperial-culture asset. Sadly, you can only tell that by its texture, not the ID.
  • misc_de_bowl_01 – again, you can only tell this by its texture, but this bowl belongs to blueware set, which is high-class.

Rescaled miscs and containers:

  • None found - good

Other:

  • Plants look like they’re too big for their planters. Maybe scale them down a bit.
  • crate_02_mead_unique – it’s a unique container from vanilla (and has a script to it). Use only generic vanilla (or TD) containers.
  • 2 x SB_light_de_lamp_03_512_red – vanilla and Tamriel Data should have all variants of light sources we could possibly need. Scroll through the available stock (128-200 are good for lighting the rooms, and 64-77 – for lighting shelves/tables), do not create new ones. TR generally only creates new items for quests.
  • light_de_lantern_02-177 (on the round table) – it’s a blue light. TR uses light color codes to characterize interiors: blue – magic-aligned places, red – evil/seedy places, orange/white – normal interiors, yellow/green/etc – festive places.
  • T_Com_Var_CandleRed01_77 - looks too big for its counterparts in the candle box (and for such a small interior in general). If you scale it down to a minimum, you’ll get a good result.
  • misc_skooma_vial can’t be reached by the player. We should strive to make all items interactable.
  • T_De_Urn_01 is usually used as a tomb asset to contain the ashes of the dead Dunmer. It’s best to replace it with a simple vase/pot.
  • glass jinkblade is too expensive for this interior. I understand the background, but for the sake of showcase let’s keep it poor.

Not necessary to fix but:

  • T_De_Furn_Rug_22 next to the bottom entrance - looks too pretty for a poor int (too clean, bright, and elaborate).
  • The top-floor bookshelf sinks into the floor for an inch.
  • Tapestries sit too dip into the plaster, imho – give the rope knots a couple of cantimeters to breath.
  • You do not need to use different tapestries for every spot. Usually, for interiors of this size we place 2-3 variants of tapesties and copy them across the interior.

General: Your interior looks really good. I am surprised on how much you did right on your first go. Fix the above issues and I'll recommend for promotion.

Thank you, you've fixed all I asked for. But due to my inattention the first time, I've found some new things:

  • furn_de_rope_03 in the bed/kitchen area - doesn't reach the beam it's attached to.
  • T_Com_BookendPoor_01 - this is a non-Dunmer asset. Replace it with Dunmer poor bookend.
  • I didn't see during the first review that you're using in_hlaalu_room_post (in yellow) to cover gaps where the room pieces connect. Also, there are caspering parts (in red) of the room pieces that are not covered. You have to pick the right pieces of the shell to prevent caspers (transparent parts of the meshes that are exposed to the player's eye), and reduntant asset usage (pillars in this case). You can assemble your house from extant room pieces in vanilla (or TD) and avoid these issues.
  • A tip: rotate the bottles on the rack so their etiquettes do not look in one direction.

Kindly fix these issues and I'll recommend for promotion.

Rebuilt most of the shell. Swapped the bookend, fixed ropes, rotated bottle. Replaced vanilla double walls with TD one-sided walls for cleanliness.

Thanks for the swift reaction, and a successfull fix of the shell issue. That was my biggest concern. The rest is also fixed, recommend for promotion!

Spoiler: Highlight to view
I've also noticed just now that the planters bleed into the wall very slightly. I won't stall the promotion because of this one small thing, but you could want to fix it just for cleanness sake.
