Alrighty folks, we have to update our progress report page. I’ve gone through and done the initial formatting, and also written blurbs for every section that is actively being updated. I put the correct stage number in for each region.
http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/progress-report
But! I need help.
I need:
A nice screenshot of each region, done with MGEXE very nicely, but without any graphics replacer mods or other visible mods as it appears in the 16.09 releaseDone!- A short 3-4 sentence blurb description of each region as it appears in the CS right now. Reference this: http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/content/2016-10-22-meeting-summary
- I could also use some nice copy to put at the top of the page or suggestions on how to improve it.
Post your offerings in this thread.

I wrote up some blurbs for a few areas. Let me know if this is the sort of thing you are looking for!
Molaghread:
The Molaghread is a series of fertile plains divided by the jagged ranges of Boethia's Spine. Generally flat, with sparse but consistent tree cover. This region contains the prominent Telvanni towers of Tel Ouada and Llothanis, as well as a major Imperial fortress at Firewatch and numerous smaller settlements and plantations in between.
Boethiah's Spine
The treacherous ridges and deep valleys of Boethiah's Spine stretch north-to south through the heart of the mainland’s eastern peninsula. The southern portion of this region is dominated by deep Lake Boethiah, whose surrounding towns and settlements include the towers of Tel Mothrivra and Alt Bosara. In the north, the Spine separates into several ridges which gouge their way through the otherwise flat plains of the Molaghread. This region is largely rocky and barren, but its steep cliffs conceal several lushly forested valleys.
Aranyon Pass
This valley pass which cuts through the northern stretch of Boethia's Spine has a sinister reputation, but nevertheless tempts travellers who are looking for a quicker route between Tel Ouada and Llothanis. This is a very small region which consists mainly of the narrow pass itself, as well as a portion of the surrounding mountains.
Telvanni Isles
The scattered islands of this archipelago, with their uninviting terrain of barren hills and damp fungal groves, seem inhospitible at first glance. Yet, the Isles serve as the isolated heartland of the reclusive Great House Telvanni. The twisted sprawl of Port Telvannis serves as the House’s capital, and several other towns and plantations populate the surrounding islands.

Thomas: Yes, looks good! Could you try extending the view distance/object count a little? It’ll make your computer stutter but the framerate doesn’t matter for screenshots.
fufufu: Yes, those look nice. I’ll drop them in when I get a chance. If you want to do more, go for it.

Screenshots made with viewing distance changed to 40 cells, are these better?

Nice. I updated the screenshots. Remember these are to show off the appearance of the region, so try to find typical areas, and show off what’s there. But also, some parts of the regions are a bit ugly, so if you can take screenshots that dodge that or conceal it in fog… like Roth Roryn’s un-vertex-shaded cliff potato lumps.
Fufufu, I added your blurbs. Thanks!

I’m bumping this because I still need help with the little blurbs. I need little blurbs for every region that doesn’t already have one. I updated all the screenshots, but haven’t put screenshots in the Deshaan and Narsis District since we don’t have anything in the exteriors there. I’m not sure if we should put heightmap screenshots or atmospheric concepts in for those.

Hey, Aranyon Pass exists as a region for the same reason the valley of Mephala existed and Soluthis exists: to supply its own weather.
Since the city regions all fell to the wayside, it shouldn’t be in this report as well.

Thirr Valley
The Thirr Valley is situated in a great canyon surrounding the river Thirr as it makes its way north. Mushroom mangroves dominate the river banks and the landscape slowly shifts from the Aanthirin’s orange-green to Shipal-Shin’s red.
Caught in politics and business, Hlaalu villages dot the landscape, and House Redoran has its furthest outposts here, keeping a wary eye on the boat travel.
The initial heightmap is complete and implemented. Planning continues on the forums, and assets are being accumulated in preparation for the eventual opening of exterior claims.
Othreleth Woods
The western highlands are the heartlands of House Hlaalu.
If the Aanthirin is spring and the Thirr Valley is summer, the Othreleth Woods are autumn. The sun seems to eternally set over great Mushroom forests and the downpour of the river Kanith.
The initial heightmap is complete and implemented. Planning continues on the forums, and assets are being accumulated in preparation for the eventual opening of exterior claims.
Shipal-Shin
The red canyons of Shipal-Shin rise up far to the south and join the Valus Mountains, lowering their heights and forming a natural border both with Cyrodiil and Black Marsh. Isolated Hlaalu settlements can be found in the mountains, with inhabitants tilting the red soil and tending the sparse foliage.
The most prominent city of Shipal-Shin is Narsis, the capital of House Hlaalu, grown grand and decadant from the wealth gained by supplying the Empire’s failing Black Marsh settlements. Nearly all supplies that pass on through Stormhold pass through Narsis first and the Hlaalu are sure to take their pound of meat.
The initial heightmap is complete and implemented, with Narsis having an implementation that has not yet been changed to fit the new heightmap. Planning continues on the forums, and assets are being accumulated in preparation for the eventual opening of exterior claims.
And a reduced region map:

New map added, blurbs added. Thanks! I linked the picture back to the lab site as I’m guessing our current server will pitch a fit if I try to upload it here.
